I recently 'discovered' this Ice-T album of 1993. I knew this album existed but never really checked it. Until recently... I gotta say that it blew my off my socks! It's one of the most hardcore albums I've heard in a while. Ice-T is great on this with a vicious presence on each track. The beats are bangin', mostly not to complex but just hard headnodding beats & scratches from DJ Alladin. If you like the music like the late NWA-era (Niggaz4Life) & Ice Cube's first solo albums, than this album will be your shit! Check it & don't sleep on it, I think it's a underrated classic.
Anyone else who's a fan?

it definitely was hardcore but it wasn't the same as OG which IMO every song had a meaning.(sort of like death certificate)
Home invasion i think he wasnt in the right state of mind being dropped from warner bros(i think) and that whole cop killer shit.

Ice admits he was unfocused and pissed off when recording 'Home Invasion' because of the cop killer fiasco.
Warner Bros dropped him and he lost a major funded album contract, New Jack City 2 was cancelled etc...
Threats of treason were being made against him which carries the death penalty. They were trying to shut him down for real.
'Home Invasion' was the result.
Loved playing this and the remix, Ice rolling back and forth west/east ghettos:

The first time i played this tape, was at the local youth center.
Every one stopped what they was doing in shock and some in awe, one of the old ladys in charge turned it off and gave me the tape back.
One kid pleaded for it to be played.
I had only played the intro! ahaha

sums up the album perfectly

T in his early days was just as hard & raw as NWA was, he deserves the title of 'godfather of gangsta rap" just as much as Eazy does.
Matter of FACT, NWA was influenced by Ice-T. & They'll be the first to admit it too.
& shit gets even rawer live!
