Dwight said he will not sign the extension. So better win this year lol. Although you have a chance to resign him, but he's testing the market because he'll bank in free agency.

Here is the way I look at it though in the West:

Westbrook > Nash
KD > Kobe
Harden/Sef > Artest
Ibaka < Pau
Perkins < Howard

But according to even you Laker fans Pau is a soft pussy & Ibaka is one of the best defensive bigs & Howard just "sucks" & gets shut down against decently sized & defensive big men.

So I wouldn't be too excited lol.

jamison > whoever they have as a back up stretch 4 or PF

pau has been soft, but we have dwight, no matter. there isnt a bigman tandem for gasol and dwight to guard 2 dominate bigs, so dwight will guard the other. lol with gasol and dwight on the floor together, itll be too easy.

gasol workign the high post passing to dwight downlow, prob even play some picka nd roll with dwight and gasol. and dwight doesnt create his own shot, so gasol can work low post and just give it to dwight once he gets doubled.

dwight doesnt get shut down, dude just dosnt have any low post game to create his own shot, except through his strength and athleticism

its crazy. and we're still not done, we're still probably going to sign a 2/3 perimeter player. and kobes going to have a much easier time on offense with a PG like nash. there sgoing to be alot less double teams.

lol when sess, blake, or fish is on the floor with kobe, they double team him immediately, i see artests numbers go up with nash on the team, and ive sed this before when we first acquired him. but ron is a defensive beast, sefolosha and harden cant guard the likes of lebron james or paul pierce, their too weak.

lol wesbtrook over nash? yea in terms of scoring, but dude is dumb as a dog in terms of basketball IQ, and 90% of all his productivity is off his athleticism. our options are endless on the floor

I DONT LIKE LOSING BYNUM 1 BIT.....DWIGHT WILL BE ON THE DOWNSIDE OF HIS CAREER WHEN BYNUM JUST HITS HIS PEAK AND STARTS DOMINATING THE LEAGUE. BUT THIS WAS A MOVE FOR THE SHORT-TERM, AND NASH+DWIGHT ON THE PICK-AND-ROLL WILL BE UNSTOPPABLE. OVERALL, CANT SAYIN I'M EXCITED ABOUT THE MOVE, BUT IT CAN TURN OUT GOOD, FOR NOW. LONG-TERM, IT'S RISKY AS FUCK, BUT I GUESS KOBE ONLY HAS A FEW YEARS LEFT ANYWAYS, SO MITCH IS GOING ALL OUT.

AS FOR WHETHER WERE BETTER THAN OKC OR NOT....LMFAO....WE MADE DRASTIC IMPROVEMENTS THIS YEAR AND WE WERE ALREADY VERY CLOSE TO BEATING THEM PRIOR TO THE MOVES. THEY HAVENT MADE ANY UPGRADES YET. OUR CURRENT TEAM IS HEAD-AND-SHOULDERS ABOVE ANY TEAM IN THE LEAGUE AFTER THE DWIGHT DEAL, FOLLOWING THE NASH DEAL. SHITS SCARY.

TO (REAL) SIXER FANS....CONGRATS. U GUYS JUST GOT A SPECIAL TALENT AND IF HE RE-SIGNS, PHILADELPHIA IS SET FOR YEARS 2 COME

For all NIK has done to discredit Nash and Howard over the years, it's funny they are Lakers now.

But really, why do teams keep handing amazing players to the lakers? Bynum will likely be injury prone the rest of his career anyway.

A Gasol/Howard post tandem? Unbelievable. Wit Nash running the show, the Lakers are going to be a lot of fun to watch. Just wondering if Kobe is going to mind playing second fiddle to Superman again?!

So NIK, I agree this team ma be head and shoulders better than the rest of the league so no excuses if lakers don't win.

second fiddle? howard cant close games, which was one of the main reasons we wanted out, because the magic couldnt get a closer, they tried with vince carter.

lol kobe is going to take over the 4th or nash. lol dont u remember him bein on the magic? when they need him to score, and they feed himt he ball, he gets fouled than missess his freethrows and loses the game?

any ways howard is a better fit to run the fast break pick and roll, and his lack of offense is going to give pau more freedom. pau was pretty much useless when bynum was running those down low isos and being a ball stopper like kobe.

lol honestly u think ibaka and perkins (who lost his advantage by losing weight and losing size last summer) is going to guard a dwight howard and gasol tandem? lol imagine skinny ass perkins now and ibaka defending a gasol and dwight pick and roll, and if it some how fails, ur dishing out to kobe or nash

NIK stays tryna take shots lol. NIK is the only faggot living in lala land that thinks anyone in the league has a chance. I'll bet my account the Lakers & Thunder make it to the Western Conference Finals (given seeding) & the Heat make the Finals (barring injury). The NBA sucks, flat out. I can't say that about anything else. Not even the Little League World Series.

Three years ago, Jrue & Bynum would have been sick. Bynum basically gets the keys to the franchise to do his best Dwight impression for my boys in Philly. But with the current state of the NBA, Bynum is probably going to sit there & bitch that he isn't on a superteam & demand a trade, while OKC, LA & Miami win 60+ games, winning by an average margin of 20 lol.

I mean, I get it. You're a Lakers fan, so you're going to turn a blind eye to the fact the league is in shambles. But when the league starts failing because there are 4 superteams in the NBA & 26 teams with no superstars don't say I didn't tell you.

The team I feel really bad for is the Pacers. Larry Bird built a nice team over there. But they'll never have a chance to compete in this corrupted league. Just great drafting for five+ years, smart small trades for key role players. Again, three-four years ago, it woulda been "this team has a real chance", now it's just a known fact one of the best teams in the East stands no chance.

How can you hate the NBA for lack of competition when you became a Heat fan after they acquired the big 3? That's a little hypocritical.

And I think the new CBA will give the league more parity. The changes are just being implemented gradually. Luxary taxes will become a lot harsher and teams over the cap will not be able to do sign and trades. Bigger markets will still have some advantages, but nothing but a hard cap could stop that. Deal with it.

honestly, nuggets, philly, and pacers are going to play real true basketball, instead of having a star just try to dominate and make highlight reels.

What I mean is that Cham is basically criticizing the league for its lack of competition despite his favorite player being one of the biggest reasons behind it. It's quite paradoxical to complain so much about the lack of parity when your favorite player is LeBron.

^Yeah it was a nice move.

But Teddy, I never said it wasn't LeBron's fault. But it doesn't mean the league has any parody. Yeah guys like LeBron, Melo, Dwight are fucking the league up, regardless of me rooting for him to succeed.

I was speaking as a 76ers fan, not a LeBron fan. As a 76ers fan, how can I get "that excited" when it's just super teams & we're just an above average team? I basically have to pray for a major injury to Wade & Dwight lol.

While Kobe and Nash are a bit over the hill, and Gasol and Howard Aden exactly full of killer instinct, the Lakers have put together the best starting lineup in the league by far. However, outside of Nash, they don't have a great three point shooter in the starting five. Not sure it will matter though.

Wake me up when the heat-lakers final begins. Gonna be fun.

But really, lakers GM has the game on lock. The franchise Payroll is on some Yankees type shit, and they've once again got the best big man in the game. Unfuckingbievable. Maybe Kobe will get another chip after all

So Howard makes 4 All-star 7 footers Kobe has played with...
Howard isn't 7 feet. Infact he's actually shorter than his listed height.

pau needs to be scrappier this season, hes gotta really fight for them boards, last season i saw glimpse of him just not really going hard for them boards at times, that really bothered me, mike brown should make pau and D12 play one on one and hopefully it can toughen up pau more then he already has, hes really gotten tougher since 08 though, it just needs to keep it up and keep it consistent

HE WAS TOUGHER IN '08 THAN HE WAS IN THE PREVIOUS 2 SEASONS...HIS TOUGHNESS PEAKED IN
'09 AND '10....BUT I THINK NASH WILL BENEFIT PAU A WHOLE LOT.

KG did bully him though in 08 but gasol held his own in '10, people who call him soft and shit are mostly haters and got nothing else to say

NAAH, HE DOES GET SOFT AT TIMES...BUT THEN, HE ALSO TOUGHENS UP AND STARTS PLAYIN PHYSICAL, ONCE IN A WHILE. HE'S BIPOLAR ON THE COURT.

the thing that pisses me off the most is when he has the option to just straight dunk it, but does a scoup, hook, or shoots a j. i guess its instincts, but when that happens it really gets to me when he could of simply dunked it instead.

but i cant wait to see some gasol to dwight pick and rolls
