Title: NFL Week 1.
Post by: Chamillitary Click on September 05, 2012, 04:25:40 PM
Giants over Cowboys; Superbowl champs are like 11 for their last 11 in week one or some stupid stat like that.
Bears destroy the Colts.
Philly doesn't cover the -8 spread, but beats the Browns.
Detroit makes a mockery of the Rams.
Houston beats Miami.
Atlanta is only -2 for some fishy ass reason, but I still like them against the Chiefs.
With the worst QB in the NFL besides Tebow & MJD playing limited minutes, Vikings beat the Jags.
Brees blows out the Redskins.
Buffalo is beating my Jets. :'(
Brady is a God, so he's a lock against the Titans & Kenny Britt is out.
Seattle over Cards; let's go Carroll & Wilson...the next Brady/Bill. 8)
49ers/Packers is going to be close. But I think the arm of Rodgers will overtake the 49ers early in the season.
Tampa Bay is beating Cam.
If Manning is on, the Broncos are beating the Steelers.
Ravens/Bengals will be another close game. But the Ravens will squeak it out.
Since Ryan Matthews is out or limited, they lost Vincent Jackson & the Chargers always have terrible starts to seasons, give me the Raiders over San Diego.

Big win. No WR made a big play, Giants didn't win. Surprise, surprise.

The game tonight was more even than it looked. Just some bad luck on the Giants side early with the fumble by the rookie and the inability to score a TD after the pick on offense, and on defense the stars aligned for Ogletree to beat up on the rotating benchwarmers that were covering him. The score easily could have been reversed. I expect the Giants and Cowboys to be even all year. Now we'll have to wait and see how the Eagles look.

lol @ saying Giants & "bad luck". Their entire march last year was based off of luck.

The Giants shouldn't have gotten past the Packers last season. The 49ers should have easily won that game & even the Superbowl was just catching break after break.

I like your style  8)

Anyways, too late for the opener but..

Bears over Colts
Eagles over Browns
Lions over Rams
Pats over Titans
Falcons over Chiefs
Vikings over Jags
Saints over Skins
Bills over Jets
Texans over Dolphins
Packers over 69ers
Hawks over Cards
Panthers over Bucks
Steelers over Broncos

I know y'all are both Jets fan, so how bad do you think that team is actually going to be? I know the pre-season is far from all-telling, but they looked like shit. I guess the fact that Cham picked them to lose against the Bills is telling.

I don't care. I'm not a Giants fan, and I don't cheer for Eli any more than I do for Romo. I like them both. I'm just saying the numbers tell a different story than what actually happened. Romo played incredibly well, but so did Eli. It really came down to who had the ball last, in this particular game.

Even the one bad throw for an easy TD up the middle was turned into a TD a few seconds later anyway.

I don't have them making the playoffs. I have the Bills making the playoffs though.

Getting Tebow was the stupidest move we've ever made. The Jets will never win unless they give McElroy the keys to the Jet. Somehow we didn't resign Plax. Revis lost some of that magic last year. Shonn Greene needs to step it up; the o-line isn't good; the d-line can't get to the QB. Just a hole almost everywhere you look.

The Bills have Fitzpatrick who could have a nice solid season with Stevie dropping every few passes & if Fred Jackson stays healthy, that's a decent offense & with Mario on the defensive side, I like that team to make moves this year.

i agree with you Ryan, im a jets fan they are my AFC team because all the Texan fans are fuckin haters and they made me hate Houston, plus im a big Mark Sanchez fan too (hes mexican like me) but no resigning plax and getting Tebow was pretty retarded but i hope they kill it this year

The Bills would have to start 6-2 or better and be 4 games ahead of the Pats for me to think they even have a shot at winning the division. We have a long history of shutting down in the season half of the season. The last game of the season last years summed up the whole thing; Bills go up 21-0 in the first quarter and then lose by 30.

LOL, they ain't beating the Patriots in the division. The Pats could go 16-0 again.

I give the Bills a Wild Card though.

Im Glad the Giants Lost. But If Victor Cruz doesnt drop 3 balls it might be a different game. 2 of the drops nobody was even close to him. But No matter what happened. Romo outplayed Eli and the Cowboys just looked better. They ran it well, threw it well...Did everything a little better then the Gaymen

actually Eli played a great game...take away Cruz's 3 drops and say he catches those and Eli woulda been 24/32!  he went 21/32 with a QB rating of 95.  not bad at all.

not to mention the horrible no-call in the end zone :D

I just said without cruz's 3 drops it could have been a different game, but u cant deny how well Romo played and by the numbers and the outcome he OUTPLAYED Eli. I dont think that this can be debated

Yes, thank you.  The Giants have to be the luckiest team in the history of sports, no lie.  And i hate the 49ers but they shouldve beat that giants team.  Cant be lucky forever  8)

Numbers and outcome don't automatically render something an unarguable fact. As I stated above I think both QBs played rather equally. Romo just had an easier road with a WR that wasn't being covered so well. Romo did make some great audibles, but he also had that bonehead INT.

Regardless, my boy came out tonight after over a year of sitting and already won the comeback player of the year award. Time will tell if he can enter the MVP race. Stupid Jim Irsay.

P.S> I have the Sunday Ticket and watch every game; RG3 played incredibly well tonight, and as I predicted Drew Brees is showing himself to be a product of Payton more than an elite QB. He had big numbers because he had to throw to play catch up against a prevent defense, but he had a horrible game as I watched him. We'll see how the season turns out. But thumbs way up for Griffin.

I'm big on the Raiders this year. Carson got a full offseason to work with this team & get back into that elite form he was in a few years ago. If McFadden is healthy, he could be the best back in football. If Peyton didn't join that division, I'd say they were a lock for it.

Raiders didn't look so bad. They have a couple WRs coming back to help and that loss was more due to a long snapper than anything else. When you lose a game by 1 score after 3 scores came off of punt errors you're not that bad as a team on offense and their defense looked solid.

Up front did. The secondary was whatever.

I can see a 9-6/10-6 finish. Won't be enough. If Peyton is healthy, he's finishing 13-3.

If Denver can survice the pre-bye schedule they'll be in good shape. They have the Falcons, the Texans, the Raiders, the Pats, adn the Chargers all coming up. 5-2 going into the bye means 11-5 or 12-4 to finish the season. 6-1 means 13-3. 7-0 means MVP and Superbowl appearance. I can't see anyone after the bye beating them (that doesn't mean I'm predicting no losses. They could very well lose in KC or even a fluke loss against the Brows if they try and cake walk it). I'm calling this right now though; Peyton Manning is not losing to the Ravens. He may lose one to the Chargers, and I'm not calling NE one way or another.)

But if he goes 19-0 I'm creating a replica of my penis and sending it to some of you guys to take pics of yourselves blowing it and making that your new sig pic.

10 of RG3's 19 completions were from behind the line of scrimmage. He's running that Baylor offense. Wonder how much longer that'll last.

No losses is the standard, and if they do lose it's because of the replacement refs or because the game was rigged, or because Peyton's teammates didn't show up. Jim Irsay is going to hell, and Andrew Luck is never going to be a good QB. People will see that I'm right.
