Remember that cat Magoo from Timberland and Magoo album back in 98'. Damn.. talk about biting another rappers style. This dude sounded identical to Qtip. I've never been a Tribe Called Quest or Qtip fan, I respect him as a person and icon in rap, but never been a fan of his music. I was just browsing youtube today bumpin cuts from the past like I usually do and stumbled upon Magoo and looked closer and realized it wasn't Qtip. lol
I can't believe I used to listen to this wack timberland and magoo shit back in 98
-
you really thought Q Tip, from A Tribe Called Quest, was also a southern guy working with Timbaland??
didn't the name throw you off a bit?
-
Wtf?
-
Wow. To me the 2 guys don't even sound similar. But its taken you 14 years to realize that they are not the same person. Just wow.

Calm down dude... it's really not that big of a deal. You make it sound like I've spent the last 14 years in a lab somewhere trying to analyze the voice patterns of Magoo and Qtip to compare, and after 14 years of study I finally concluded they aren't the same person...
Actually it's pretty simple. The Timberland and Magoo joints were bumpin on the radio for a season around 98'. I heard the joints and thought the dude was Qtip because their voices sounded alike. Then after the songs had played on the radio for a month or so I never thought of it again.

so you know so little about Q Tip's discography that it took you 14 years later to realize?
i mean first off they really don't sound that similar

ouch! lol

Magoo aint nowhere near Q-Tips level.. their voice sound a lil similar, but they got 2 different styles.
Timbaland has always been a top-notch producer, tho..wouldnt exactly call his work "whack"

Timbo has some great beats, like Nigga What Nigga Who and Lobster N Scrimp for Jay Z and Doggfather remix for Snoop
but the majority of his work is wack. and yes Magoo is FAR FROM Q-tip's level or voice. Brian is crazy..

Timbo has plenty of great shit in his discography, no way is he whack. You can make a case for his actual rapping yeah, but his production is great.

ur sounding almost as crazy as brian...
-
Damn Brian, for someone who's molded their entire life around the urban black American male, you seem really disconnected from the genre of hip hop.
-
"tha doggfather remix" was wack and "faggot peckerwood what, honkey white hoe what" wasnt his best beat and neither was "lobster n skrimp"

Nigga What, Nigga Who (Originator 99)" is the final single from rapper Jay-Z's third album Vol. 2: Hard Knock Life. The song is produced by Timbaland and features two artists: Big Jaz, who raps one verse and Amil, who sings the track's chorus. The song is a popular track among fans, who think it is a great showcase for Jay-Z's raw talent, and is some of his fastest rapping work.[citation needed]
The song's title was changed to "Jigga What, Jigga Who" to avoid airing the word "nigga".
