A recent one that comes to mind is 'Funeral Music' by Slim The Mobster & Jayo Felony.  That was pretty grimey.

Brotha Lynch - "Liquor Sicc", "Locc 2 Da Brain", "Rest In Piss", etc., etc. Season Of Da Siccness  was hard as fuck period! Mr. Doctor and X-Raided both had some hard gangsta-ass albums around that time too.

I definitely agree with Eazy's "Real Muthaphuckkin G's" (whole EP is dope) and Spice 1's "Born II Die", both are favorites of mine.
