Never thought I'd see that in my lifetime. That's sick. Congrats.

Yeah, I feel like it hasn't been talked about nearly enough considering it has never happened in our generation. Congrats to him, one hell of a season.

^ Trout looks like a once in a generation player himself. But no way can you not give a triple crown winner the MVP.

Well in the past there have been players who accomplished the triple crown but didn't win the MVP.
Like Ted Williams who won the triple crown twice but didn't win the MVP award for either year.

When it comes down to it Trout won all of the analytical stats that non-baseball nerds have never heard of like WAR, UZR etc... and Cabrera won all the overrated stats that haven't been taken seriously by anybody in the last few years except for the casual baseball fans which means Cabrera's already ahead of Trout. Add the fact that the Triple Crown hasn't been done in nearly half a century & the Tigers being post-season bound and Cabrera's got the MVP award in the bag.

Still, congrats to Miggy for his accomplishment. Now all I need to see is a player hitting .400, a player with a 57 game hitting streak, a player with 4000 hits and the Astros winning a WS ring and I can die happy.
