Lady Gaga Explains Why She's Not on Kendrick Lamar's New Album
After many delays, Kendrick Lamar is finally set to release his new album good kid, m.A.A.d. city on October 22 via Aftermath/Interscope. That's great news for many, but those hoping to hear the much-publicized Lady Gaga collaboration will be disappointed.
Posting on her Little Monsters site, the unpredictable pop princess revealed that the song, which is called "Partynauseous," didn't make it onto the album because she wasn't pleased with the way Lamar's management was handling the music.
Here's her unedited statement in its entirety:
I apologize to the fans that this situation with Partynauseous is confusing. To it clear it up I must explain this. When I collaborate with an artist i work solely with them, not with their camps or management. Its purely organic and creative. I love Kendrick dearly as a friend, but was not willing to compromise musically to the changes his team was making to my music. This is why I am not his record. I have a very specific vision as a producer and songwriter, and I always have. That song will be released at a different time, for a different project. I love you, and think you should check out his stuff because he is truly great. He's a good kid, its just sometimes a mad city.
So there you have it — Lady Gaga will not appear on Lamar's new album. With guests like Dr. Dre, Drake and Jay Rock, alongside production from Hit-Boy, T-Minus and Just Blaze, however, we're guessing most of you won't mind too much.

Damn >:(
And here is what Kendrick had to say:
When Kendrick Lamar revealed the tracklisting to his debut album, "good kid, m.A.A.d city" on Tuesday (Oct. 2), many were surprised to see that his collaboration with Lady Gaga, " PARTYNAUSEOUS," wasn't listed.
K.Dot told Power 105.1's The Breakfast Club that the collaboration didn't make the cut and alluded that " PARTYNAUSEOUS" didn't coincide with album's concept.
"Me and Lady Gaga, we really good friends. She's not on the album. We got some records, but when I was breaking down the bulk of the album, the ones we picked, we set them aside for future reference," the West Coast lyricist said. "I already had everything premeditated for this day, for October 22nd."

I don't get the "after many delays" comment, the album came out pretty much when they said right?
-
Kendrick was on the radio here in NYC and mentioned that he had "records" with Gaga which means there might be a few more
-
I don't get why Complex and other sites listed Lady Gaga as a feature on track 2 then :S
-
Props to Kendrick for not putting a corny track on his album.
-
She was supposed to do the background vocals on Bitch don't kill my vibe , but has been taken off ...Partynauseous is another track

Words from a true artist. I wish 95% of the other rappers, singers and musicians would have this same attitude.
