that "Mac & Devin" Soundtrack wasnt the greatest thing in the world but it has some ight joints on there too. I always thought Snoop shoulda hopped on that "Born Stunna (Remix)" with Birdman

My Own Way or Sexual Eruption.
-
Press Play & Neva Hafta Worry.
-
that mac and devin cd is the fuckign shit! idgaf what anyone says but that is 2012 g-funk without tha gangsta in it.
-
yeah some real good songs on that album but aside from that iam struggling to think of anything more recent?
I guess there hasnt really been any new dpg lately as far as them doing songs together.
I honestly find it hard to see and coming back from Snoop Lion.
-
Snoop can still make dope tracks its just that they don't have much replay value, his ability to make a classic song is not there anymore
-
havent heard the mac & devin album yet...just saw the movie the other night, and it was pretty damn cheesy. how would u compare the "mac & devin ost" to "doggumentary"?

Mac n Devin seemed to get a universally good response, but for me it was lazy and cheep sounding stuff (not a Wiz fan though)
-
In terms of albums the Blue Carpet Treatment was dope, not just solid because hes old and you're impressed because he's not wack it was just hands down flat out a dope CD I bumped the shit out of that CD.
-
Yeah plenty quality tracks on BTC

Hmm i guess its similar in the way of having a few different styles, production wise. Its probably more consistent than Snoops album probably because its shorter not as much filler and apart from the big single it doesn't really have as many sell out sounding songs or as much experimental songs as the Snoop album.
Its been a while since i heard it but half of it is really really good half of it average i dont recall any really whack tracks or anything. Its pretty laid back and cool, funky. I mean i quit weed and that album makes me want to(or actually do so) smoke i imagine for a weed head it would be the perfect smokers anthem(the whole cd).

yup. Juicy J, Wiz, Curren$y, and a few other muscians make me feel tha same way too. Its just something about the music that makes u feel a certain way. I mean any music on any drug makes u like it more but some of their catalog (Curren$y and Wiz in particular) just do it 4 u #Capitol
-
doggumentary had some dope tracks on it for sure.... the album wiz had a couple... he still doin things
-
yall gonna miss me
-
"What's my name (Who am I?)"
-
now that I think of it that opening track from Blue Carpet Treatment, vintage Snoop 8)
-

Even stuff like this is long behind Snoop now
-
This is kind of on the same topic...
I distinctly remember the last verse where I heard the "real" Snoop was on "Smooth" on Dogg Food,
it's like right after that was when he got bored of rhyming or something and just went on autopilot...
BUT I did think "Think About It" from BCT showed that he could still be a dope MC if he wanted to be...
-

Yeah the movie sucked ass for the most part but the Soundtrack was really were they put the effort to. It's nothing ground breaking but majority of the album is enjoyable and designed for a altered state of mind. Too bad Snoop hasn't been working with Wiz Khalifa more because really most of the collaborations have been spot on. "This Weed iz Mine" was a high light.
The Soundtrack was better then the doggumentary. But you should really DL Wizs newest mixtape it's better then the soundtrack.

The movie was ight. U shouldnt expect to go ape shit over a film based off of being in high school and youre in your mid-20's or older. Unless your were looking for something to make u dream about your old high school daze which is something thats literally almost (i said Almost) impossible to do when you have something aimed at a certain audience. Its like watching a Dora movie and expecting it to take u back to the days of 2nd Grade.
We Da West = Tha Blue Carpet Treatment Mixtape = High School Soundtrack > Tha Doggumentary = Tha Blue Carpet Treatment Album > Ego Trippin > The City Is In Good Hands = I Wanna Rock Mixtape > Malices
i've been sayin it. Snoop just has so much material out there for the common listener to realize that he has 1 of the best catalogs in Hip Hop history.

Lol.
Snoop got Doggystyle......................then Doggfather, Top Dogg, Last Meal & BTC (all hella tight in different ways but nothing really major)
Then a bunch of lesser, semi musically retarded shit
If thats one of the best catalogues in rap I'm tapping out now :-X

I haven't listened to anything Snoop's dropped since his collabo with Wiz so I don't know if any of the tracks he's dropped recently have been good or not but IMO his last good song was Young Wild And Free.

My Own Way is the shit.

What I am saying is that its very spread out, I didnt even name everything he put his name on and I'll even disreguard his Featurings.
You're pretty superficial trying to say that a Man releasing over 200 songs in 6 years (a guestimate) is somehow supposed to strike gold 100% of the time or even 60% (which is a reasonable number for a musician with over 20 years of experience in the game). And that's bias and personal opinion to the side.
*edited for accuracy

60% isn't if you're meant to be 'one of the best'
Compare that to Nas. I heardly ever/never heard Nas drop a lazy verse on autopilot like Snoop does (nearly all the time)
-
yeah i dont really care what you have to say, i dont think anybody does to be honest. nobody on here has ever taken u serious. but thx for that No DJ version of "Wannabees" tho
