:grumpy: @ DA winning the poll.
This always happens on Dubcc.. new albums get ridiculously overrated the first couple of weeks.
Make the same poll in 2-3 months, and I'm 100% sure Documentary wins.
6 years have passed, which Game album is the best to you ?
To me, i'd say Da is better, more cohesive album and less fillers. Even though The Doc is dope !

Documentary...jome was right

L.A.X.

L.A.X.
Guess you're kidding, right ??? That's your opinion anyway ;)

Take the best from both, then you have a nearly dope lp.
-
L.A.X.
I can understand this. LAX is SO much better than its reputation. There's a semi-weak middle-section on the album, but the rest is very good. Had he used the four dope bonus tracks for the actual album and dumped some of that middle section then it would have been classic to me. To me, LAX is arguably the album where Game, the rapper, shines the most.
However, Doctors Advocate is his best album. It's the most consistent, most cohesive, and Game sounds great. The Doctumentary has some of the hottest beats ever heard on any hip-hop album, but Game hadn't matured as an artist yet.

both albums are super dope. id take doc advocate or the docu by very small margin, also i like lax- couple weak songs but a overall dope cd. red album was garbage.

true...

The Doc has a more polished feel with the Aftermath/Dre backing and all that, but as an album I actually enjoyed the DA more.
-
Doctors Advocate>Documentary but because 1 is better then the other is all Opinion, in the end they are both classic albums and not weak by any means except when it comes to the name dropping. 8)

I'd give it a solid 4 mics, Doggystyle after all got only 4 in the Source, just sayin
-
The main difference between the two is that Dre was not on the DA and i'd say Game did a pretty good job without him

L.A.X.
LOL
Problem?

Yeah but the Source was up it's own ass for east coast albums at the time. So I never respected them as a reviewer because of that fucking slant. Today they even worse because beside the slant they aren't the same quality as before regardless.
Also for L.A.X. L.A.X. is without a doubt his third best album, DA/TD can be switched depending on your opinion but you know it won't ever be his first nor second best. The problem with L.A.X. is he didn't include songs like Big Dream on the record and instead had a crappier middle. Course I believe the beginning of the album for the most part was strong different but strong but it falls apart in the middle only to be a mixed bad during the beginning of the end but at the very end it just gets fucking shit.
Course his RED Album was complete shit, from all the singles he made for it it was obvious it wouldn't be no were near as strong. The strange thing is these artist know what songs the bangers, the production is what gets them the most praised and sell the most but they shine away from it like the plague.

no...i just think it's funny. LOL

The Documentary is the superior album. The Game raps well on it, it has a great variety of songs and the beats are some of the best in recent years.
Enough time has passed for it to be labelled a West coast classic. Possibly even a general classic.
-
you can't compare doc's advocate and documentary...
but u can compare doc's advocate and l.a.x.

Sheiiiit.
This thread has reminded me of how HORRIBLE the staying power of this dude's music is. Wow. It seems like 27 yrs ago since DA came out god damn.

That's funny because The Chronic came out 20 years ago and I still hear it on the radio from time to time and a lot coming from peoples cars. lol but I think people are just slanted towards the the doc is because of all the other people involved in the project.

no...i just think it's funny. LOL
Dope boys, state of emergency, my life, letter 2 the king, bulletproof diaries, let us live...not seeing the funny part. Only sounds I couldn't fuck with were that horrible Luda collabo, and Cali Sunshine was ehh. Other than that the album is solid, by far my favorite Game album.

I was a big fan of Money. It's not my favorite Game album but it's a lot better than people say it is.
