Was actually a bit disappointed (in a non hater way)
That albums nice, fresh, a bit experimental and got some soul. But for me the songs and lyrical content aren't that strong. It's good easy listening tho.
6.5/10

1. Ascending - n/a

This one is easily in my top 3 albums of the year. Wish there were more Organized Noize tracks in it!

true, it's a bit more experimental for Big Boi (Shoes for Running, Raspberries, CPU, Tremendous Damage etc.), he should have kept it funky as in Mama Told Me. I like his first album more

no one else has checked this? I'm gonna go cop this today. Always been a fan of OutKast. Last solo effort from Big Boi was solid.
-
I'm starting to like Big Boi more than Andre. To me I think they made choices on beats and songs based on the success of the Big Boi/Black Keys mashup. Which I liked. I really like this album. I've been playing it A LOT the last week.

3 Stacks is more creative than Big Boi. It's been a long time since he's released anything, but when the time comes you'll remember ;)

gonna check later today.
-
got 2 check out this album
-
haven't even heard this whole album yet but I'll most likely just go buy it off the strength of "In The A" and "Lines", those are thumpers
-
its good. sir lucious leftfoot was 10x better tho

never bought that.
i always thought 3000 was more hipsterish and such, with big boi being more traditionally southern rap - but not "less" creative really.
-
Big Boi is extremely creative and shows so on this album. 3 Stacks is creative but most of his verses lately have been about women (albeit dope -- Sorry, Pink Matter, Drake's album etc)
-
albums not bad. im a lil stuck on Jesus Piece right now, but iv gave this a few spins. Thickets, Thom Pettie, Lines, Gossip & of course In The A.. man In The A is a monster, definitely needs to be a single, TI and Big Boi tear the shit up.. wheres the outro from? that shit is too true.. WHY DO U JUST SPECIALIZE IN FUN THINGS! lol
-
In The A is a monster, definitely needs to be a single
They shot the video the other day
Btw everyone, it's worth owning a hard copy of this album. The packaging and booklet are incredibly dope 8)

I wasn't that heated after hearing the rip - but I know the CDs gonna have some added dimension and knock. Gonna cop this and give it a proper workout
