God damn. Boy goes in. The future right here.

Not bad...I'll def take it over about 95% of what I normally hear these days. Having said that, while he has some skills he's kinda vanilla on the mic...lacking charisma. But I'll def check for some of his other stuff. Premos beat is ok as well but seems kinda boring / uninspired too. He needs to be working with Nas or someone that is really gonna push him to be on top of his game because honestly I think these younger cats aren't doing that for him.
And the hype in the comments section is already retarded, saying stuff like "so this must have been what it was like listening to Big L when he first came on the scene" or something to that effect, someone else saying he's the next jay z. I realize that these are probably his E-team bots, and everyone in NY wants there to be a new great east coast rapper, let's not get ahead of ourselves.
Thanks for posting this Cham

This is dope, some vintage NY shit. I was hoping for a harder beat from Premier, thought he might bring his A Game considering a lot of people would be checking this.
Joey is the future of the NY sound at this point, didn't he sign to Roc Nation as well or was that just a rumour?

In the song he says something along the lines of fuck a major label unless they bring $3 million to the table so I'd say he's not signed unless something happened since he recorded this song.

his verse on "1 Train" hinted that he may sign with Jay
paperwork is probably still being done so maybe a confirmation will follow soon

Yeah been a few mixed messages, interesting to see what happens.
"D'Evils" came on after this while I was at the gym today, tracks sound like they could of been made in the same session, not that I'm complaining 8)

i would rather hear an artist like this guy not sign with someone like jay z.
dont need rnb pop hooks paired w a rapper like this.
this is a dope track though.
-
yeah would rather not see him take the Buddens route and record something like "Pump It Up

Jay doesn't seem to make his artists switch their style too much. Look at Beans, Free, Kanye and more recently Cole, their music is still very much their own. Now if you said Eminem I could def agree with you.

I just see him trying to appeal to a wider audience at the expense of his music. I'll hold my thoughts on that till it happens.
