I knew he was ghost writing I was wondering why I would always hear these rappers say things along the lines of realest mentioned in their raps good on him though

I agree - he did sound like 'Pac while he was on Death Row. Now he sounds nothing like him in my opinion - judge for yourself:

Anybody have any idea who Tha Realest is ghostwriting for?

He's a real good lyricist, it's not surprising to me that he's writing for dudes. Maybe someone in Dre's camp? Cash Money people?

He's close with Mike Lynn (Aftermath A&R) so it could be someone from Dre's camp but nothing's for sure.

OK, that's true if by "lyricist" we mean a rapper like Crooked I or Nas...what I meant is more that Tha Realest is a good songwriter. His lyrics are always hard-hitting and rarely boring. He's not dropping polysyllabic rhymes every line, but the shit he says is always compelling. "As Time Passes By" is proof enough of Real's intelligence and abilities.
