Along with Garcia and Honeycutt for Patterson, Aldrich and Douglas.
-
What a stupid trade. If/when they come here I hope they clean the entire front office out.
-
Robinson has so much raw potential.
I love that lineup in Houston.
-
maloofs obviously did this for money, but don't sleep on patrick patterson.
-
i really hope that the kings stay in sac.
those fans when given a real chance are actually pretty good/loyal fans.
no hate to Remedy, but that would really hurt Sac (and surrounding towns) as a city if they leave. Sacramento may not be the "cool" or "hip" type of place seattle is but people in the valley do love the kings.
maloofs have to be hiding somewhere far from sac right about now in a 1950s bomb shelter, theres a lot of pretty pissed off people around here.
oh yeah, terrible move done shamelessly for money.
-
Thing is, at least the NorCal fans still got the warriors. Seattle fans had nothin 2 fall back on... Still, sac fans are loyal and they deserve their team.

lol, portland and seattle were rivals, but thats what gayallen from this board did.
and even if, portland to seattle is twice the drive and in 2 different states....at least oakland and sacramento are both in norcal and within a short distance.

The Kings fans are great, they deserve a team, you'll never hear me admit otherwise. But we deserve a team and that's what it comes down to. The Sonics were the first team Seattle ever had and if you watched the documentary "Sonicsgate" (free on youtube) you'd understand that OKC shoulda never had that team. I'd rather jack a city like Charlotte or Memphis that's never really embraced their team but I honestly have my heart set on the Kings and want to see what we can make of this dysfunctional unit. Also LOL @ rooting for Portland. Really?

The topic moved on from the trade to a disgusting statement about the Kings to Seattle. Maybe next time you should just PM me if you want me to hold your hand when you navigate a thread.

What was so "disgusting" about what he said? U sound bitter.

Robinson has so much raw potential.
I love that lineup in Houston.
He's got potential to be a solid back up. Kind of guy who can rotate in for the center and power forward position... get a few points, blocks, and boards and call it a night.
But this guy played for a college team here locally so I'm pretty familiar with his game. I don't see any star potential in him.

I agree.. He's bein overhyped. For all we know Patrick Patterson can end up the better player.

yep, and so are the kings and warriors.
kings fans arent just going to want to jump ship to the warriors just cause theyre geographically close. just like seattle fans dont want to jump over to the jailblazers.

He's a Jayhawk. That team is more exposed than anyone else. He's got potential.

Patterson's from UK, of course he's got potential. 8)

Kings n GS don't have a legit rivalry.. Portland to Seattle is more like Kings to Lakers.

Trust me on this, I know KU and MU basketball because I live out here (unfortunately). And KU has not typically been the type of school that develops stars. With Bill Self and even with Roy Williams before that it's always been a team game. They've always recruited team players, that make great college athletes but not great NBA players like Rick Pitino and John Callapari and those guys recruit.
Paul Pierce is one of the few stars I can ever remember coming out of KU. (of course Wilt Chamberlain but that was too many years back). The Morris twin were stars at Kansas but look to be solid backups in the NBA. Same with Robinson, he was a star at Kansas but I see no way that this guy becomes a star in the NBA. He doesn't have the star mentality, he is not built in that way. He is driven to be a solid contributor and that's about it.
-
I never said a star. Just a player everyone wants on their team.

That was a bit harsh, but that's just the precedent that the NBA set when they moved Seattle to OKC after 41 years. Pretty lame how they pit fans against eachother like this but it is what it is. I'd be lying my ass off if I said I wasn't excited about the prospect of a young and exciting team like the Kings coming here. Of course I feel for the fans, but unfortunately the NBA is a business and it's not even about fan support anymore in a lot of ways, otherwise the Sonics would still be here and the Kings wouldn't be leaving. Every time I turn on the TV I have the Thunder thrown in my face so it's hard for me to feel too bad about it all.

I'd say its more like giants and a's, the two teams dont have what you'd call a bitter rivalry (even after the world series) because the whole community isnt for only 1 team, but theres still rivalry there. plus, they dont play each other in games that mean a whole lot because neither team is usually any good but if they did, you'd see it.
