all i ever hear was that his verse was horrible! me personally i know it wasnt sum sick azz verse cuz he followed behind bone thugs rappin slow.
"now my fat sack of rocks, hell yeah i stuffed'em, police on my draws i had to pause an yeah, its still muthaphukk'em"
thats real talk. "now niggaz might trip on how i stacks my grip, i gotsta have it bitch foe tha love of this shit"
his voice and style could never be wack. shit i sound like a fan boy but real shit theres a reason eazy e still got loyal fans and forums dedicated to just him.

oh yeah i love the extended version of this song cept that girl moaning i think ruins it IMO.
-
like you stated Eazy's voice and style always made up for any lack of lyricism....
-
the 'muthafuckaaaaaa' to end the verse became a staple...classic verse, lyrical or not.
-
im feelin the edited version more than the explicit one but yeeeea sometimes i laugh cause the lyrics nd how he loses his rhyme pattern but its the E, only a few can pull that off 8) 8) 8)

Classic Classic Classic

I've never heard anyone say that his verse was wack, to me Foe Tha Love Of $$$ is a straight classic all the way through, the beat, Bone and Eazy. Eazy-E will never be known as one of the best lyricists but what he did he did very well, and that's spit that hardcore gangsta shit; nothing more nothing less, 100% gangsta. He's still my favorite rapper, voice, lyrics, beat selection and other artists he worked with (Bone, ATL, B.G. Knocc Out and Dresta, etc.) was always dope to me.

i wonder if it was intentional or not? at that time in the early to mid 90's rappers were tryna be different with off beat on beat rhyming patters(Jeru the damaja,Special Ed 90s version) oh yeah an das efx. i know he was doin that diggity shit on his 5150 EP.

word. love his verse. so much presence and charisma.
and yeah the extended version is amazing except for Jewell's moaning. Jewell's gotta be the corniest female backup singer, and that says a lot LOL.
-
i gotta say the worst eazy has EVER sounded on ANY song is only if you want it.
treach wrote that and eazy just couldnt hit that staccato flow.
-
eazy e is classic!
love that verse and eazy e
-
I love that verse.
*fun fact* Flesh Bone wrote it.
-
One of the worst verses i've heard from Eazy, but it's still a classic song.
-
I love that verse.

eazy wrote his own verse.
-
oh shit yes you are absolutely correct I made a mistake.
Layzie: “What was it like to work with Eazy ? I remember when we were recording ‘Foe Tha Love Of $.’ Eazy wanted to rap on it. So he was like, ‘Write my verse.’ And I was like, ‘Nah, write your own motherfucking verse. You Eazy E, nigga [laughs].’ He put us out of the studio and ended up writing his own shit."
-
jerry heller originally wrote that verse thats why he kicked all the black people out of the studio it was time to bring in the big guns.
