Im a big fan of Q but this song is trash.
-
Im anticipating this album but not into this track that much :-\
-
this song is toooooo tight WTF wrong with yall??? oh well wish yall could enjoy it like i am! beat is nice he flowed nicely on it! i mean idk what else you want lol
-

i like TDE, but i feel like Q is the weakest member lyrically. his flow is what carry's him. he's kinda like aspa rocky, shit lyric's but dope flow. if you listen to tracks like black lip bastard remix by black hippy you'll see that Q had the worst verse out of all the members. he's not as lyrical as ab, kendrick or jay rock.. his flow is what carry's him.
if you listen to tracks like this one http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KnnYiW5dnhQ he's not really saying anything with any kind of meaning. he's just stringing random words together, but there is no concept to the song at all. the beat is hard and he has a kool flow.
-
I really only think Kendrick is on another level lyrically. The rest are pretty standard actually but like you said their flows carry them.
And there is nothing wrong with that. We're still talkin music here so it has to sound dope. Not every rapper has to be the next Rakim, gza etc.

i never said their flow carry them. i said schoolboy q's flow carry's him! im not saying there is anything wrong with his style. im just saying you can't put him on a lyrical level with kendrick, ab, or even jay rock.. like i said if you listen to that black lip bastard remix he got out shined heavy on that shit.. everybody spiting bars and he's talking about sucking on tities when he was 8th. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y9kncHM9nFk there is no way you can tell me q didn't have the worst verse on that record .. that's like saying french montana is a dope rapper because he has flow.. niggas like french, gucci ect got flow but thats about it.. sorry but it's easy to flow on a records that's why we have so many shit rappers now. everybody got flow and beats, but shit lyric's.. thats the difference between waka, gucci, trindad, aspa rocky and lets say a kendrick, j cole ect.. im not saying these niggas don't put out music thats needed because im not trying to listen to j cole or nas at a club. so these niggas music has it's place. what im saying is you can't rate these rapper's that just have flow and no lyrical content on the same level as niggas like kendrick or j cole.. these niggas like French just get drunk, pop 2 pills, hop in the studio and rap about work, work, work work, shawty got that donkey bootyyy!! i got that work, work work :-\.. i just made that shit up, but thats your typical french montana hook. you can't not rate a rapper with just flow on the same level as an all around rapper. kendrick got lyrics and he got flow. the nigga can make a party record and make deep music.. these niggas with only flow got one style.. rap about bitches with big bootys or doing drugs. why you think this molly shit is so big now ? that's all these one dimensional niggas rap about.. im not trying to hear the next Rakim or gza either. im trying to hear a nigga with balance.. that's why kendrick's album is a classic! it has balance, party joints, lyrical shit, laid back music. that shit shows versatility. he's an all around artist! im not saying schoolboy is as bad as french and these niggas, but he's a one dimensional rapper too. he goes good with asap because they both rap about the same shit. like i said im not saying schoolboy is a bad rapper i like some of his shit, but he's not on the level of the other members in black hippy. he needs certain beats to be shine on and that showed when he came on that black lip bastard remix track and dropped some weak shit. that recorded needed lyrics! the rest of those niggas in black hippy are all around rappers, q needs certain beats to shine on where his flow and the beat can outshine his lyrics and those are the same type of beats ASAP rocky uses to cover his weak lyrics. thats why they sound good together on records. why you think you always see kendrick, Ab and jay rock freestyling on live interview's, but never Q. there is not beat to flow on and his lack of lyrics would show.

Looking forward to this project. Hopefully it delivers. Was disappointed in GKMC.

ok, now from the last three tracks he dropped I didn't dig even one. I'm not really hyped about his album, for now the only thing I like about it is its title. But if it's full of music like this, it will be a one-listener. I thought Q would finally try to step it up a bit, both lyrically and with his delivery. I mean wtf is this shit hook? DAT YAY YAY DAT YAY YAY DAT YAY YAY - yeah it's enough shut the fuck up already, lol. And people in here be praisin this like the new banger, lmao. Did you even listen to this poorly mixed and vastly overmodulating production?
If we believe in kendrick's words and oxy-moron is the next big thing TDE is planning and what they all work on it right now, they gotta deliver better than this. I mean Q already got tight stuff out like "Blessed", "There He Go", "Druggys Wit Hoes (Again)" or Sacrilegous. But to me it seems he's really true about what he said in an interview like two years ago like he's too lazy or too bored sometimes to put effort in his writing etc. and that the other guys had to push him sometimes. If he doesn't realize that his one big chance is RIGHT NOW in Kendrick's wake, he will end up like another random rapper. And he doesn't fit a niche to develop a core fanbase for later like Ab-Soul does for example. So he shouldn't just try to be the next A$AP Rocky from the west and come up with his good stuff, be himself.

Last three tracks? This is the first track he's released off Oxymoron, and it's poorly mastered because this is a low quality rip. This is merely a track to get you hype, this isn't "Blessed Part 2". Q already said that GKMC forced him to step his game up hard, I've got faith that he's going to live up to his expectations.
Him and Rocky have been working together for a while now though, so I'd expect to see him on there, and they have similar sounds beat wise, but the flow and the way Q approaches a track is completely different though, it's not like Q is biting. I'm definitely interested to see what he comes up with next.

Dope. Lookin' forward to hearin' to "Oxymoron".

I did not say that thos tracks were actual album material. But they were the last three tracks he dropped, so it's assumable that this is the recent music he's doing. Catch my drift? Those tracks were this here, "Party" and another I forgot the name but I do remember I didn't even download it. And for a "track to get me hyped" this shit is underwhelmingly hyping. To me it's more... let's say annoying.
Then again, were did I say that Q's biting Rocky? I'm just saying that he is going his direction of sound (beats and atmosphere) and more important content and delivery. He sounds too random or unmotivated. I'm not saying this song is garbage either. I mean it has its energy. It would maybe fittin on an album like the one he's recordng. And I don't expect him to come off with groundbreaking lyrics the whole time. But still this more of a "filler" track than a track that gets me eager to hear more. And this is what I dont get. The track my come off as cool when you hear the whole thing later. But standing alone as a song to create buzz for the album, it's not working. At least not on me.

^^^^ this foo is st8 retarted.... do you hear what he says before that yay yay yay? This is dope but I really don't see it working, Premos sound is too dusty for Qs style in my opinion.

I'm not hating on it, I was just making my point why I don't think this is a good single to get the hype up. The one that is hating is you btw, with your latent racism:
"just a year after pac died we all bump suga free........ shit is true as fuck at least over here on the west coast dont know about u euros....
another thing: wow, he said he bumped suga free one year after pac died. so? what's the point even? i bumped all suga free records as well. I don't get what his message is in this line. or what you see in it..? ok cool, he bumped a fairly unknown rapper since 97, two years before street gospel dropped and gives him respect on his cut. that's cool. but what is the relation to euros now?

im late, but i just found this song and this shit jams. lookin forward to Oxymoron!
