There was one letter-writer who trotted out the ever-popular coup de grâce. You can't have a discussion about Iraq (or Serbia or Afghanistan or any other Enemy-of-the-Day) without someone mentioning that if only they'd stopped Hitler at Munich, World War II could have been prevented. This assumes, of course, that someone could have stopped Hitler at Munich; a fact not in evidence.

Perhaps someday, after America has attacked Iraq, and then Iran, and then Syria, and North Korea, and Libya, and Saudi Arabia, Colombia, the Sudan, Zimbabwe, Guatemala, Morocco, Togo, Denmark, and Lapland, people will be saying, "If only they'd stopped Bush at Baghdad!"

i don't. i'm not saying i agree with everything bush does, but america wants democracy all over the world. i do agree with that, so why you come up with denmark and so is bull.

If America supposedly wants democracy then why did they suppress democracy when Iran tried to develop one before the Shah?  Why did they place the Shah in power?  Why did they help Hussien come to power?  Why did they help other dictators in Egypt and Afganistan (yep, they helped the Taliban come to power).   Tech help me out, I know there are about 20 more dictators they put in power.

Yep, the USA puts in power (or keeps them in) dictators in Latin America as it is in their (economic) interests to stop democracy there as otherwise the people vote for governments with socialist leanings (look at Hugo Chavez) who look after their people and thus sell things (such as oil) at a reasonable price to the USA, and not bargain prices.
