No wonder Eminem has only one major U.S. concert planned for 2003 — his studio schedule doesn't leave him any time to hit the stage.
Although Marshall Mathers' next solo album isn't due until the top of '04, he'll have plenty to keep him occupied in the interim. Em's been living in the lab for the past few months, making sure his Shady Records empire stays on top.
According to sources within his camp, Slim laid a good amount of the soundscapes for Obie Trice's spring debut and will soon be handing over the reins to Dr. Dre and Timbaland as that project, which also features Rockwilder beats, closes out.
Once production on Obie's LP is completed, Em will jump headfirst into D12's sophomore effort, due this summer. The plan is for Slim Shady to produce most of the tracks and put in time in the vocal booth as well.
Of course, Em will also be keeping an eye on Shady Records' latest phenomenon, 50 Cent. The Southside Jamaica, Queens, rapper isn't letting a couple of million records sold satiate his hunger. He's already got plans to follow up Get Rich or Die Tryin' with another record in November. Taking a cue from his boss, 50 will also be overseeing the crafting of one of his own artists on his own label. G-Unit member Lloyd Banks' debut, due in August, will drop on the Interscope-distributed G-Unit Records.
Not to be left out of the mix, Em's DJ and mixtape master Green Lantern, who's signed to Shady Records as well, is putting together a compilation album. No guests have been named, but according to the Shady camp, anybody who performs on the album will have to keep their tunes in tune with a special Green Lantern theme.

Its a wrap for the rest of the labels.....

obies shit is startin to slowly hype me up now since i hear rock, timbo and dre beats might be on their, hopefully it'l be a dope album but is it me, or is the green lantern thing soundin the dopest?
-
is it me or is shady records quickly becoming wayyy bigger than aftermath...i know it's a branch off but already d12's shit sold 2.5 mil, eminem show- 7.5 mil, 8 mile- 4.5 mil, and fifty- close to 3 mil and that shit was just released...
the thing that pisses me off is that dre seems more focussed on shady records artists than on his own (RAKIM, ice cube, RAKIM, also himself, and ugh RAKIM) i guess i've been waiting too long for that shit to drop, peace.

that rakim album will be better than all the shady ones put together.......and shady records are pretty fuckin tight

Obie Trice, D12, Lloyd Banks and another 50 album this year? Shit you can't blame their work-ethic. Something tells me that Obie's album is gonna wack, though, with Eminem producing most of it... :-\
-
i think obie is gonna be hit or miss...either people are gonna accept it or totally reject it...sometimes he has me wondering whether he's dope or just alright...
for example obie has a track called "adrenaline rush" on the 8 mile sdtrk and it's nothing like an adrenaline rush, personally he should've named it "motherfucker"...but then he comes tight on tracks like "Rap Name", "Go To Sleep" and "Love Me"...so i'm really not sure, but ill definately peep it though, peace.

yeah i agree shady records is gettin big but everyone knows its not where near as big as aftermath, it wouldnt be here if it wernt for aftermath....i mean dres involvment like u said in shady records is huge, he produced 50's first single and like that track got even muhfuckers who dont like hip hop listenin so without dre there wouldnt be no shady........but yeah, shady sells alot of units no doubt......but like to me.........aftermath is split in 3 sections
u got:
aftermath elite - dre, cube, rakim, eminem
then u got shady up comers - obie,50, dj green lantern.......i guess d12
and u got the aftermath youth - like brooklyn, joe beast and so on..........
but i think dre has a big involvement in all them projects but like his slowly tryna get eminem to get more experience and work done behind the boards
peace

Will the Rakim album be better than a couple more Eminem solo albums, a couple more 50 solos, another D12 album and a other Shady projects?....cause those are the albums that will be out when Rakim FINALLY comes out.
