It gets interesting when he talked about Pac complaining over the phone to Death Row's offices, saying that Pac called Snoop "corny" and even went so far to say that he was paying for "Nate Dogg's child support." That's interesting, considering how one of the criticisms of the mismanagement of Death Row was the fact that a lot of random Death Row expenditures were charged to him. It sounds like him picking up some of Nate Dogg's tabs (which I remembered having read before) was done with his knowledge.

it was true about him payin' nate's child support. there were legal docs that his mom had and probably can still be found online where he was also payin' for michelle's range rover, david kenner's shit, etc. suge was doin' him dirty.

lol@Snoop paying Nate Dogg's child support.
...Again, I love 2pac and I love Snoop. But my take on that whole issue was that Pac was willing to die for his art, and he always showed courage under pressure. There was a period when Snoop was all in as well, but after surviving his murder case in early summer 96', he was a changed man and he wasn't willing to ride as hard as Pac was for Death Row, West Coast, etc.

One part of this interview that had me confused was when he said Pac was still hanging out with Dr. Dre after he left Death Row. Thinking he must either have his dates wrong or he's confusing Dre with somebody else.

Yeah there was a scanned document online a whole back showing Pac had money taken from him to pay Nate's child support. Sounds like Suge just looked at the list of expenses and the list of income and divided it up the way he wanted to. I wonder if that ever caused tension between artist.

pac probably found it out late probably by august when he was doin' the makaveli album because suge was doin' shit like that while tellin' pac he owed death row money.

I'm sure it caused at least a little bit. People seem to hate on Suge for how the expenses were split up, but it's not like Nate Dogg's child support bills automatically go to Death Row. Nate Dogg either couldn't pay those bills (whether because he didn't have the money or wasn't responsible enough to get it done) or flat-out didn't want to, but he likely just asked Suge or someone handling finances within Death Row if they could take care of the problem, so Pac may have felt like Nate was being a little boy for how Nate couldn't handle his financial responsibilities as a man and father, while Pac was basically footing that bill while taking care of his own crew (Outlawz) and his family.
Nate did say something about how toward the end, Pac wasn't really close to him so much anymore, as he mentioned how he didn't know that Pac was filming a video for All About U until after it was already done, which kind of peeved him when he didn't get invited to be in it. So maybe Pac not inviting him stemmed from this little financial debacle that involved Nate's child support.

you gotta check out the documents that's not the only thing that was charged to pac.

Oh yeah, no doubt... like someone's Porsche or whatever it was being tacked onto Pac's expenditures. But again, I was just speaking on the Nate Dogg stuff since that's what was brought up in the interview. Speaking of which, whose Porsche was it anyway? I don't think Suge had one, and considering his size and how small the 911s were at that time, I don't see his big ass fitting in one.

Obviously everyone's beef with Death Row was, as Nate Dogg said on MTV, "money." I wonder if any of the other artists also got stuff billed to them, like maybe Snoop. Ever heard anything from him or anyone else? I'd assume that Suge would put some of the Dogg Pound's shit on Snoop's tab at some point.
EDIT: corrected typo of "been" to "beef"

these dudes had shitty deals to being with. they had no publishing except Daz with "Emoni's music", Suge raked in all their publishing with his "suge publishing". Suge was buying them goods and stuff but they weren't making millions so Suge was already making shitloads of money and I think that's why Daz won in 2003 with the $25 mill ruling cause they weren't properly being paid. that's also the motive being Daz stealing a lot of masters when he left Death Row, he saw he was getting embezzled so he took everything he could lol. Daz explained in an interview that he was pissed off that despite being on the biggest label of this era, he wasn't nearly as rich as independent dudes like E-40 & D-Shot LOL.

he probably was hangin' out wit dre after he left.
That seems odd though as it seems like Pac was pretty vocal about having issues with Dre from right around the time that he was starting to leave. Pierre makes it sound like he was hanging around with Dre around the time he was making diss records about him.
