I've been bumpin "Aint No Playa," "Playaz Club," and "I'll Be Around" for about a decade now...three of my favorite songs...yet the only albums from 4-Tay that I own are Don't Fight the Feeling and (just recently) Still Standing.
What are some of his other best songs? Or most solid albums? I need to build up a 4-Tay collection. Bout to drop like $50 on iTunes, let a baller know how to blow to some of this money.
Ain't No Playa is my favorite 4-Tay, btw, that song is smooth as hell...maybe the smoothest West Coast track besides We Can Freak It.

get Off Parole Album and you'll be straight lotta classics in that album

The fuck...why is this album not for sale on iTunes?
4-Tay needs to step his business game up and get it there. He also needs to get a VEVO.

Just copped "That's What You Thought" on a whim, cuz I heard The BoyBoy Young Mess spittin on Live from the 415...I love blowin this cheese at my computer. I'm that nigga.

Am I right in thinking that the sound quality of Still Standing is kinda fucked up? The vocals are too low and the beats are too loud. There are some songs where you can barely hear 4-Tay. And on "Encore" you really cannot hear what the hell Treach is saying. 4-Tay deeps to spend a little paper on an engineer who knows how to mix this music down properly.
-
Also, anybody know why 4-Tay is constantly in and out of jail? Slanging? Gun possession? DUI?

Off parole a bay area classic, hands down
i love this album

The only albums I have from him are Off Parole and Don't Fight The Feelin, both are dope!. I got Don't Fight The Feeling twice because one of the copies I have has a different version of "I'll Be Around" (has more of an oldie sound to it than the other version) and it has the instrumental for "Players Club" as the last song. The other copy has a different version of "I'll Be Around" (has more of a westcoast vibe to it with a lead synth sound in it) and the "Players Club Remix" as the last song. The artwork and tracklist on both is identical (from what I can tell), I always thought that was odd.
Anyway, I've always liked the track "Problems" from the Dangerous Minds soundtrack, it has a laid back, smooth type vibe to it. If you like the song "The Gift" off of "Don't Fight..." you mighty like it, maybe you can get that track by itself off of itunes too.

Who produced 4-Tay's classic hits?
Playaz Club? Aint No Playa? Whoever produced these beats is a genius, would like to know who it was.

Ain't No Playa was produced by G-Man Stan
Playaz Club was produced by Cyrus Estaban & Franky J (Rag Top Records' CEO)

Thanks homie...also, anyone know who's singing on The Gift? How about on I Paid My Dues?
The voices of these girls sound familiar to me, I think I recognize them from Pac songs (Death Row era). Is one of them Jewell?
-
Both singers sound nothing like Jewell
Kandice Love does the chorus on Paid My Dues
and I don't know who sings on "the gift"

my favourite 4 tay song. everytime i hear this beat for some reason it reminds me of the sound of boyz n the hood movie.

Thanks for these recommendations, nigga, I'm loving "Problems" and I also got "Message For Your Mind" with it. Great 4-Tay tracks that sound like they could have been on Don't Fight the Feeling.

A couple songs I recommend is off Rappin 4-Tays "Gangsta Gumbo" album is: "If It Wasn't 4 U ft. Nate Dogg & Suga Free" and "360 Degrees ft. E-40, Eightball, Spice 1".
