Honestly I don't see another westcoast artist going platinum. Westcoast is in terrible shape right now. Snoop Dogg is struggling to go platinum himself and he's one of the biggest names in da west. So why do u think anyone else could? Tha westcoast has alot of talent, but nobody recognizes it but us. They need to do what EA Ski is doing and go on some mix tapes and stop that independant shit. Independant labels get no distribution to sell their records in stores. I'm going to keep supporting tha west no matter what, fuck y'all that on the west, because tha west iz truly tha best.

Yep. But like I've said here before, who cares? As long as artists make the music we want to hear and don't give up just because they can't make enough money to buy a small town, we should be happy.

i hope someone does, but even if dre does..is he even gonna be west coast...really most of his album will be non westcoast artists....i really dont see another west coast style album going platinum again...people just dont support it anymore

Maybe the problem is that there is no westcoast style music anymore, and the sound of rap music is a universal sound.  Honestly, I think all the westcoast/eastcoast shit is long forgotton now and rappers are just rappers...they dont bring any specific sounds to the table, just making hot records for everyone to enjoy

I think Warren gon drop a heater and go platinum with his G Files. Or at least i hope so...his shit deserves plat plus status, like bacc in da regulate days.

Nevertheless, who cares about sellin? When shit goes platinum is cause a lotta people are buyin tha shit cuz its popular...let it be banged only for TRUE lovers of da west.

nah nah, if warrren g wants to go platinum he'll need some more advertising. Ice cube has more potential for going platinum than he does, but dre fo sho, jus cuzz he's dre.

Yeah Nate could EASILY go platinum... WC would be platinum right now without all that bullshit... I can see Ice Cube go platinum or if DPG come back together, then can go platinum

if Crooked I's album ever drops, i think he might go platinum or atleast head to that level. dre will go platinum just cause he's a 5 star producer and obvioully cause he did em's shit and that went platinum and you knwo for sure dre is going to do a better job on his shit. anyone know how many units "D.J. Quik - Under The Influence" has as of right now?

The only rappers from the west that can push platinum in this day and age are Snoop, Dre, and 2Pac, noone else can push platinum which is pretty sad but true.

No westcoast artist can go platinum with a record label like Defjam,MCA,and Elektra. That's true facts. They don't promote westcoast artists at all.

I think its real sad man, cause the west coast artists put
hip hop on the worldwide map and now they no longer
get the recognition they deserve, also even though I
don't like Suge and the row now, you have to give death
row props for being the power house in rap a few years
ago cause they were the ones selling big time. Now all
of a sudden the west lost all the power they had and
the artists are struggling to sell records.
