Title: Song sampled for "Don't try to play me homey"
Post by: bouli77 on May 26, 2013, 03:46:49 AM: I always loved this beat, and I'm under the impression that Daz sampled (or had the basic chords replayed) Jamiroquai's Music of the mind, does anybody else see the resemblance or am I seriously trippin' ? I never owned a copy of Gridlock'd, does it mention an interpolation or sample ? I'm guessing they didn't cause Daz and Death Row often did not credit samples & interpolations.

Jamiroquai are legends. So many hits you can't go wrong with them. Virtual Insanity is one of my all time favs.

Yeah Little L is a standout of their later hits for me.

One band I was with since day 1. Shame they progressively lost their magic IMO
