Title: Hack Wilson presents: the Rap DVD discussion thread
Post by: Hack Wilson - real on June 01, 2013, 06:09:09 PM
in the past few nights I've watched both Yukmouth "united ghettos of america vol 2" and "Bosses In The Booth"

Yukmouth 2:  i give this a 9/10 and recommend it to anyone who is a fan of Yuk or westcoast rap

Bosses in the booth:  i give it a 6/10 because it was mostly boring as fuck...the 2pac footage was nice but the production values were weak and only the biggest WC gangsta rap fan would watch the entire thing all the way through....too many no name rappers in the middle of this although I liked the footage they had obviously.  C-Bo and Richie Rich both shined here.

Plenty of dvd's here - http://rapstarvideo.com/blog/videoscategory/documentaries/ (http://rapstarvideo.com/blog/videoscategory/documentaries/)

The best one I seen recently believe it or not was the Snoop Lion joint down in Jamaica. Youtube took it down but from what I saw it was dope.

Live Squad  "Game of Survial" - a bit short as it's just a 15 minute motion picture with a bonus E Money Bags video but it's well worth the watch if you can find it

its a toss up between your cassette cover and the double sided 2pac lady promo, taking up most the screen space in this thread.

i thought it would be common sense to keep these things a reasonable size.

That stuff all got phased out once the battles made their way to YouTube, plus Smack has urltv.tv now to broadcast the battles and then all of the videos they shoot of their affiliates doing whatever.

I always liked Kurupt's G-TV DVD though, which I think was the best out of the Fortress DVD releases.  After that, the DJ Quik one was my next favorite, then the Xzibit one, and then Tha Liks, though I feel like I only watched that once or twice since it was kind of boring.
