As we know, Snoop's second album was not as successful as his debut Doggystyle...some like it, some dont but it was bit of a disappointment when compared to his first.
So i thought id make my own "dream" tracklist for it taking tracks from Doggfather and his next few releases to make a better follow up to Doggystyle.
Bit of a pointless thread....but im bored so here you go ;)
Snoop Doggy Dogg - Tha Doggfather
1. Doggfather
2. Midnight Love
3. Gold Rush
4. Groupie
5. Blueberry
6. Dont Tell
7. In Love With A Thug
8. Just Dippin
9. Bitch Please
10. Hennesey & Buddah
11. Wrong Idea
12. Bring It On
13. Issues
14. Loosing Control
15. Leave Me Alone
16. Y'all Gone Miss Me
I know ive missed out some good tracks but if this was the tracklisting for Doggfather i would have loved it!!

snoop shoulda released another album in '94 or '95 it woulda have some dre production.
-
I'm probably one of the few but I like Doggfather...it is what it is

I agree.

I don't think anyone DISLIKES it... it's just clearly not the follow-up to Doggystyle that people were expecting.

This is true...i dont dislike the album, its just a shame it was not on the same level as Doggystyle, although i put a lot of it down to Dre's absence

You call it a fan made "Tha doggfatha" but added songs from "no limit top dogg" and "the last meal"?
Yeah i didnt overly like "Tha doggfatha" when it came out but it sounds pretty classic to me since.

You may of just been fucking around on this thread, but I can dream with you homie 8)
Doggfather was the most dissapointing album in hiphop history when it was released.. but the album you put above would of been dope!

Why wasn't Midnight Love included on Tha Doggfather anyway? That song was big when it came out. It would've been a better single than Vapors and Doggfather by far.

my 2nd fav snoop album after doggystyle.
-
That just shows you how disappointing Snoop's career became, as far as putting out quality material (versus staying relevant and selling albums). No Limit Top Dogg was good though.

which made it a dissappointment when it came out. these days I enjoy it more than Doggystyle.

it was the first single off the ep doggumentary that was supposed to drop in '97.

Nah... Missing dope songs like 2001 and Snoop's Upside Yo Head. But you've got Hennessey n Buddah from Tha Last Meal? I think it took a couple more years for that song to be made, Snoop & Kokane weren't working together back in the Death Row days...
-
No Sixx Minutes either... Man fuck your version.

Yeah i see your point but my idea was to take tracks from his later albums that sounded more like the old Doggystlye era Snoop to make u suitable follow up album.
I just did it for a bit of fun, its not to be taken too serious. Although i did miss out Snoop's Upside your Head and i do love that track 8)
