I used to love video games as a kid, but I never purchased any system after the Sega.  So for me, I'm still loyal to Nintendo and Sega.  NBA Jams was huge when it came out and is still a great game to play.  Too bad they didn't have Jordan on it... the best players were...

-Ewing - his size obviously, he could shoot jumpers over anyone, and could knock down 3's in this one (unlike real life), he could also do that legal goal-tending thing.
-Kemp- pretty much same like Ewing.  Good size and could hit the 3's
-Miller- any of the high percentage 3 point shooting guys with size enough to legal goal tend were good.

...damn I'm drawing a blank.

I use to fuck shit up with Miller. I could rain 3's all day long and he had just enough D that I could stop people. I use to use that shove like crazy. I have NBA Jam on Wii now, and Kobe is damn near untouchable. I like to use him and Artest now. All D and Kobe can score at any time.

I got the N64 version called "Hang Time".
Love that game.

I used to be either David Robinson or Hakeem.

I had that one too, but I loved NBA Jam Tournament Edition on SNES.

In the 16 bit era, yeah it was always arcade >>> home systems. We use to have NBA Jam TE in our high school student store. We use to hang out there all the time and play with the change from lunch. To rub it in, I'd beat people with the Clippers, that was like the ultimate insult back then. I had a bet that if I beat a dude with the Clippers, he couldn't come around for a week, beat him by 6 (we only played on quarter) and it was great. Awe, this thread brings back good memories.
