even the team coached by Rudy?  they had Kobe in his prime and won 34 games

he got injured that year and rudy t left midway through the season.. dont count

kobe played 66 games that year


Allen iverson played that many games and took garbage teams deep in the playoffs ;)

before rudy t stepped down we were still around 7th-6th seed in the playoffs that season...then kobe got injured, frank hamblen took over, we went on a losing streak, and we chalked it up as a lost season. kobe did better with worse teammates the very next season when he played the full season.

Let's see how well he can prepare at this point of his career after an injury like this - it's obvious he still got some gas left in his tank, but how much? That's the interesting question :)
