luuuuuuuuuuuulz.
Doesn't matter. They were dead in the water for 2014 anyway. Their ratings will just fall into the abyss though.

just the other week mets fans were saying they were going to be better than the yankees for the next 2-3 years
DOH
-
*Matt Harvey falls
*Noah Syndergaard gets roughed up in the minors
*Travis d'Arnaud is still liable to go back on the DL
*Zach Wheeler will be shut down soon
*Juerys Familia and one other guy are on the DL
*Rafael Montero is still two years away
*David Wright is still on DL
So much for the Mets's bright future.
That said I do think that the future will be a lot better for the Mets than the Yankees. The A-Rod circus will continue, the decline of Jeter, Teixiera, A-Rod and the other geriatric cases on that roster will hurt them, losing Granderson, Kuroda and Mo in the offseason will hurt them, the lack of any impact youngsters on their way up will hurt them (Sanchez has yet to reach AAA, so no youth movement any time soon) and resigning Cano will definitely hurt them a few years down the line.
