Always glad to have some more Pimp C music. He was pretty prolific, lot of unreleased material an I think this is his 3rd posthumous release.
Would always prefer the OG production on these joints, but Juicy J should provide some good beats.
Juicy mentioned this on his twitter as well as some recent interviews.

Some of the production on the other posthumous releases were iffy. I do think Juicy J will do Pimp C justice. Looking forward to this.
-
leave it as original as you can
-
Juicy J & Mike Dean are the only two people that can do the PIMP justice. It wouldn't be the first PIMP-C album out that wasn't produced by PIMP-C.
Pimp-C is my 2nd favorite rapper of all time!!!!

can't wait to hear it

Yeah I agree. I actually think the last UGK album was the weakest one released so far, save for 5 classics being: Still on the Grind, The Pimp and the Bun, She luv it, Purse come first, and Game been good to me. All songs which were basically finished before Pimp died. A lot of the other joints on there are pieced together and redundant. Still on the grind was completely on some next level shit, Pimp was really about to start destroying the game.
I thought the production on naked soul of sweet jones was great top to bottom...some of it was og production, some redone but the finished product was very good.
And Still pimpin was pretty good as well.
The quality of this album depends on how much actual Pimp material they have for it. But Juicy actually worked with Pimp and is a dope producer. I'll def be coppin this one.

Word, Pimp didn't necessarily get producer credits on UGK songs, so not having it produced by him specifically isn't a huge deal. I normally don't like Jazzy Phizzle Productshizzle's, but him and Pimp had good chemistry.
It's like 2pac in his prime: no matter how wack the beat is, Pimp/Pac could still make it tight cuz of how good they were on the mic.
Pimp is the only rapper I would put on Pac's level, real talk.

jazzy phizzle can be extremely dope on occasion... I like Pimp C over NO Joe productions too... like on Underground Kingz. I also like DJ DMD and Cory Mo, they mesh well with Pimp's style. man I loved the intro and outro on the last UGK album.
I love Pimp but he's nowhere near Pac, Pimp is so redundant I understand people calling him wack on the mic (there are many of them), but I'm a UGK fan and I love his style so that's not my stance 8)

Pimp C raps ain't for everybody, his lyrics were never that complex or mind-blowing on paper but he's really always spitting some game and knowledge if you really listening and dude always had soul
-
agreed 100%, a lot of his shit sound redundant though. but he def has soul. I was bumpin Dirty Money a lot lately, a lot of his verses are subpar on this album even if I like it.
-
his verse on that Juicy J album was epic

Not a big fan of albums like this. I feel like there's not true emotion or feeling put into by both artists. At this point, it's just J tailoring a beat as he sees the mood of the song. It may or may not fit C The Pimp well. I'l still check it out anyway.
