Damn, I think he's still a decent mid-rotation type pitcher but not a 17 million a year guy.

I can't say for sure but if I were to take a guess the overpay is probably so Lincecum can't say shit when the Giants turn him into a reliever.

Well Tim was about to play for the hometown mariners but he felt that he wanted to get out of his record slump 1st.  Which is unnecessary.  Sometimes when great pitchers fall off, they go to the other league & succeed.  And plus marijuana is legal in washington.  Yes I know the leagues still 4bids players to use weed in states that are legalized.
