haha yeah 8)
I think Kurupt produced one of those beats as well
-
I remember when daz said he had to pull a hammer out on dre to mix the album. LOL
-
My favourite Daz beat is probably '21 Jumpstreet', the quintessential g-funk summer cruising song with probably the best bassline ever. I'll never get bored of listening to it.

Nate Dogg and Daz - These Days . this is flyest west coast music 8)
Quik said he hasn't been credited for his work in this song...
and it's credited as produced by nate dogg, not daz (although soopafly claimed in another thread that he & daz did it)
-
Didnt Big C-Style say he produced "21 Jumpstreet"? I remember he said he made some beat that was credited to Daz. There's so many motherfuckers claimin' that they did this and they did that these days that you can't trust nobody. How many motherfuckers have said that they did work on "Doggystyle" and "The Chronic", but never got credit?. Even DJ Jam recently said he did somethin' on "Doggystyle" too and he ain't even a producer like that, he makes mixtapes and DJ's.
None of us will ever know the truth about these albums and songs because we weren't there to see who made what.

Dope.. funny that I never knew about this remix till now. I even bought the "Get On Up" single when it came out. It had a "Freakin You" remix with Wu-tang on the B-Side that was my joint back in the day. "I keep my Power U warm/ Study Islam" - Ghostface
Good to see all the Daz love on here lately, here's my top 10 favorite Daz productions, the most obvious...
1. "Ambitionz of Ridah" - 2pac
2. "I Ain't Mad at Cha" - 2pac
3. "Got My Mind Made Up" - 2pac
4. "2 of Americas Most Wanted" - Dogg Pound
5. "What Would You Do" - Dogg Pound
6. "In California" - Daz solo
7. "Dogg Pound Gangstaz" - Dogg Pound
8. "Big Pimpin" - Dogg Pound
9. "Let's Play House" - Dogg Pound
10. "21 Jumpstreet" - Tray Dee and Snoop
Top 10 Daz Under-rated, lesser known cuts:
1. "Reality" - Dogg Pound
2. "Nothin But a Cavi Hit" - Dogg Pound and Mack 10
3. "Blueberry" - says it is produced by Sam Sneed, I had my original cd cases stolen, but I remember it saying produced by Daz. Anyone know?
4. "Wish I Had Love" - Dogg Pound off the Death Row Christmas album
5. "These Days" - Nate Dogg
6. "My System" - off Daz second solo
7. "Midnight Love" - unreleased Snoop
8. "Gang Bangin Ass Criminal" - off Daz first solo
9. "Retaliation, Revenge, Get Back" - off Daz first solo
10. "Do What I Feel" - off Dogg Food
...really there are so damn many. I mean, really everything he did was fire in the 90's. He was the last man standing at Death Row and put out the last great Death Row album with Revenge Retaliation and Get Back. Not only is he the second greatest producer of all time but he is one of my top 10 favorite rappers of all-time.

Erm Midnight Love was prod by Snoop & (additional prod) Soopafly - plus Raphael Saadiq, and Carl Butch Small on the track.
People who say Daz stole others beats might want to think bout him not getting any credit on this

interesting cause in that same interview he says sam sneed and barney rubble did it and dre added the chorus.

Thanks for this link, but this ain't actually the interview i was talkin' about. It was the long interview that was in three parts. There should be more interviews with Big C-Style, he always has good stories about the old Dogg Pound days. It's a goddamn shame that he ain't fuckin' with Snoop and Daz no more.

snoop got a few production credit he didnt deserve just for finding a sample.

Baby Mama Drama wasn't produced by Daz, it was produced by Ran Dogg, unreal production by the way.
My favorite Daz productions :
Snoop Dogg - Eastside Party
Dogg Pound - Every Single Day
Kausion - I'll Do It => typical Dogg Food era production, Daz/Soopafly at their finest
Nate Dogg & Barbara Wilson - Strange
2pac - Skandalouz
Dogg Pound - Reality => could be my favorite DPG song, everything's perfect
Daz & Kurupt - Feels Good => dope ConFunkShun sample
Daz - Who's Knoccin' At My Door => I swear R.A.W. has some of the best Daz productions ever : What It Iz, Baccstabbers, On Tha Grind, (with Nate Dogg's G-Funk Classics)
Daz, Mac Shawn & Tha Realest (Tray Deee in an alternate version) - It's Goin' Down => Daz/Blaqthoven always produce heat together (You Just a B.I.T.C.H.)
Lady of Rage - Big Bad Lady (always loved the melody)
Daz & Soopafly - Put The Monkey In It
Jewell - Baby Boy => from Soopafly's Dat Whoopty Woop, the whole album is credited as produced by Daz & Soopa but I'm suspecting Soopa might be the only producer as he was for Latoiya William's Agony.
DPG - Treat her like a lady

These Days is fuckin dope. Daz made some dope beats in the 90s. If he made the beat for Let's Play House, then that has to be one of his best productions.

It's an educated assumption, but it's an accepted notion in west coast hiphop that Dre ghost produced a lot of Dogg food, and some of it is flat out obvious .. On the flipside, Daz did some coproduction on doggystyle that he was never credited for. But Dogg food clearly has its share of dre production

agreed. i also believe in some aspect dr dre oversaw games drs advocate album. he either gave it the final green light on the mixes or something. his fingerprints are all over that shit and i dont just mean because game cries about him over the whole album

I think it as simple as it is what it is; Daz produced the beat (as the demo is different and sounds like Daz's production style from that time) and Quik mixed it to the album quality (put his own touch on it admittedly).
Basically, Daz + Quik BOTH have a right to say they made a classic. Should do more together.

as much as id like to agree...
"these days"-instrumental is the perfect example of how things went down.. daz didnt do anything on that track and is credited.
so why would i believe now its different with the other tracks?
even if it was.. he definately had ghost producers.. so how to determine which work is his, and which one isnt? i'd simply go for my ears.. and i really do hear when a track is daz production.. and he has some cool concept every now and then. but his musical horizon was never that wide and elaborated as a dj quik's one.. thats like ying and yang.
as far as the demo is concerned: i can believe that daz might have played the keys, and provided the drums.. other then that he just happend to record a funky bass and guitar player.. and recorded pac and nate.. ok, so he did produce it somehow..
thanks for pointing out to the demo - actually i never heard it before.
and its amazing what quik made out of that demo.. WOW :o

except that Daz is NOT credited as a producer for These Days, just as a feature.
In the gang related, g-funk classics vol.1(death row), vol.1&2 (breakaway/navarre) booklets, These Days is always listed as a Nate Dogg production.
