For me it is like reading a book. You get 2 imagine the story on the basis of words.
That is why book adaptations often disappoint.
Few personal favourites.

The first two I knew. Scarface songs always are about life and death, most time very deep and thoughtful.
Thanks for the other two.

I didn't know a lot of the songs mentioned.. I will have to check them out.. here's a few off the top of the dome
1. "Stan" - Eminem - probably an obvious choice
2. "I Ain't Mad At Cha" - 2pac - love the part about his homie converting to Islam in prison
3. "Razorblade Salvation" - Jedi Mind Tricks - This song is beautiful. It has a dark beat but high piano notes, Vinnie raps some sort of suicide letter to his mom but in the end decides to live.
4. "Uncommon Valuor" - Jedi Mind Tricks feat. RA the Rugged Man - RA got a quotable in Source or XXL for this one I remember. It's considered one of the most magnificent verses in hip-hop history, rapping about his father fighting in Vietnam. The part where he's rapping about races and religions at peace the beat changes slightly and it almost brings you to tears. Incredible
5. "One Luv" - Nas - Ofcourse the storytelling of his homie going to prison and writing him and then meet the young homie on the park bench. It was such intricate storytelling that they actually tried to act it out in the movie Belly. That movie kind of sucked, but I still give them props for the attempt.
6. "Carry The Wieght" - Xzibit - Xzibit talks about a lot of the family problems, abuse, getting hardened by life, things he dealt with in his adolescence and running the streets, gettin in trouble with the law. It's some real shit and he does it like only Xzibit can do it. You really feel for Xzibit and you can see his heart to overcome everything through hip-hop. That was what the great 90's rap artists were all about, taking on the world.
7. "Back in the Day" - Ahmad - This song makes me want to cry when I hear it. The song actually came out when I was living out my own "back in the day" so it was amazing when you hear Ahmad actually rapping it in 95' and you are actually living it at the time, and then you look back and realize what a treasure you had in your youth and that it's all gone now... very sad but beautiful song about the good old days... I'm a nostalgic person anyway
8. "I Remember" - Coolio and J-Ro - Coolio tells the story of being a kid and the song actually came out when I was a kid running around having the best time in the world, just riding my bike all over my little city and visiting friends, hooking up with girls for the first time.. they rap about lunch time in school, summer time, hid-in-go-get it, growing up poor, moving from East to West, stealing candy and shit kids do... really great storytelling that touches my nostalgic mind
9. "The DJ" - Warren G - Same theme as Ahmad's "Back In the Day" or Coolio "I Remember". Rapping about being a kid and running around with Snoop and the homies, and kicking it outside till the "streetlights just came on!" Riding bikes and all the simple fun stuff that makes being a kid a magical time in life
10. "KIM" - EMinem - This may be the most intense track that's ever been made. The most raw track ever made. The most hardcore track ever made. Not in a gangsta way, obviously, but he's rapping about killing his baby mama and not only that he's actually screaming and putting in all the sound effects and emotions as if it is happening in real time in real life.

no doubt man... glad you liked it... I've seen it ranked in some places on the net as one of the greatest guest appearances of all-time in hip-hop. It's a true story about his father.
