Crazy. This gives Texas a perfect opportunity to scoop up Cano, do it. Do it NAO!

On a sidenote, Andrus and Profar are available if Texas can get the right pieces back (aka David Price).

i heard about this on the radio yesterday morning...all I can say is Detroit can only do as well as their pitching staff takes them because Cabrera breaks down by October.

I thought the whole point of trading Kinsler was to clear up the infield logjam, but if they're trying to trade Andrus and Profar too, then there is no doubt they are going after Cano.

I hope to hell Dodgers don't go after Andrus like reports stated. Hanley doesn't want to switch positions and I don't want Dodgers to go through the same diva drama that Marlins went through with that.

Judging from the reports I've heard it'd take a huge package to convince the Rangers to part with Andrus or Profar. Something like David Price, Giancarlo Stanton or in the Dodgers' case, a Yasiel Puig or Clayton Kershaw :P. Although the minute an offer like that comes their way they'll take it in a heartbeat and fill up the void by either going for Cano or maybe give Omar Infante a shot. Then they can let Cruz leave via free agency and get back the compensation pick they gave up to the Yankees or Tigers from the team that signs Cruz (unless it's one of those protected draft pick teams).

BTW, I got a report on my Twitter feed that Cano has been spotted in Detroit recently. Now that Fielder's gone and Miguel Cabrera can go back to 1st, the Tigers will also need a 3rd baseman. Maybe they sign Cano, shift Kinsler to short and shift Iglasias to third? Maybe they sign Cano and shift Kinsler to 3rd? Maybe they reunite with Brandon Inge?

lmao. Price for Andrus/Profar is one thing, since Price will inevitably hit the trading block (though Price is worth WAYYY more than Andrus and Profar), but Puig or Kershaw? What in the holiest of fucks...

If Detroit signs Cano, then they're going to have the same drama Kinsler had in Texas, which was Kinsler not wanting to switch positions. In any case, I'm not convinced Detroit truly cared about Kinsler anyways, despite what Detroit management says. That trade was about getting rid of Fielder's contract, and when they heard about all of Rangers' middle infielders being tradable, they bit.

Lol I know. But from the looks of what the Rangers insiders are saying, that's what the kind of talent they're looking to get back for any package that includes Profar. Hence why he hasn't been traded yet, no one is dumb enough to meet their demands.

And I completely agree about the Fielder contract thing. I even think the Tigers pretty much won this trade. Dumping Fielder's contract on somebody else, not having to resign Omar Infante, freeing up money for Max Scherzer and getting to move Cabrera back to first ought to trump whatever Fielder manages to do for the Rangers (although Fielder could do a lot of damage in that ballpark).

Edit: I just remembered that the Tigers have a in-house solution in top prospect Nick Castellanos (hopefully I didn't misspell that).

Is there a reason Detroit doesn't want to re-sign Infante? Dude had a great season and is a far superior hitter than Kinsler at this point, even if Kinsler has/had good upside. Although Cano shits on Infante, so maybe that's why lol... This whole Cano situation is crazy. Texas just cleared up room at the 2B for Profar, and Detroit just took Kinsler off Rangers' hands, and both are still going to pursue Cano? In that case I hope Detroit gets him, because Dodgers might be needing a 2B with the Guerrero uncertainty, and I think Detroit would give away Kinsler for anybody who wants to take on Kinsler's crappy contract once they get Cano, as opposed to Rangers who think Profar is worth Kershaw.

Oh and I dunno about Infante but Peralta's definitely a goner. Dude asked for 75 mill on 5 years or something... someone needs to remind him that he just got caught for fucking PEDs lol

Well I haven't read/heard too many things about the Tigers not wanting Infante back but I think it's loosely related to how expensive his services will be since the market for 2nd basemen is pretty bare.

And yeah Peralta's gone. Luckily for him there are a few teams that need a SS so he will get a job (definitely not a 5 year 75 milli deal though). At best he'll probably get half of what Melky got from the Blue Jays.
