Brother..
Accident of birth,
cursed with the responsibility
of holding up these bonds,
that don't exist in reality/
What is our bond based upon?
We have the same dad and mom?
even though we can agree on
any mutual interest
just a Gulf of difference
stretches a million miles long
yet we are in the same circumference/
So I'm confronted with conformity/
and an enormity of guilt/
But to ask for your approval/
would be the removal of
my direct alternative/
Choosing for myself a different path/
mistakes were sure to follow/
but I'd rather do that
than be an empty vessel, hollow/
Gonna feel guilt regardless of what I do/
So might as well make my own noise/
and burn this bitch down to residue/




Any relationship not based on mutual self-interest is bound to have poor consequences
