I don't remember if I ever saw this thread on here before but how did people on here feel about the way he was portrayed?
in my opinion, horribly.
-
Another posthumous diss, lol.
The guy who played 2pac in Notorious should play him in the 2Pac film whenever they do start.....hes not a bad actor.
-
Anthony Mackie was ight. I think he played Pac in tha other flick too. I cant really remember right now.
It is going to be interesting to see how they pull off the Pac flick and the NWA flick. There's lots of emotions riding on the line with these, seriously.
-
It's been a while so my memory is somewhat clouded, but I remember the guy who played Pac seemed way to happy just to have the role, and failed to capture the darkness and angst in Pac's aura.
I think Freddro Starr could play Pac. He could play a role similar to the one he played on Moesha in August 1996. He played the brooding, angst ridden yet loveable thug persona pretty well in that joint. And that was when I was in love with Brandy ;D
-
I remember seeing the movie in the theater and the audience would crack up whenever he came on, I would just smh...pretty sad considering Mackie is a decent actor but he was miscast in that role

It's a hard role to play. You really need another rapper to play it. That's another reason why I suggested Fredrro Starr.

I don't think Fredro works. He's a good actor when the role fits but I'm not sure he'd make a good Pac. I'd truthfully go for a relative unknown. Mackie wasn't bad as Pac but the film itself felt a little too much like a made-for-TV movie. It reminded me of that MC Hammer one on VH1. Speaking of which, the late Lamont Bentley was pretty good as Pac in that one.

Didn't know they had a made for TV Hammer Movie. Might be worth watching, especially if they have Pac and tough on the Death Row period of his life. Wonder if they had Suge in the movie? That would be funny to see someone try to play Suge

That movie made Pac look like a real dick head lol. But i dunno what he was actually like so..
-
He was wack as Pac. But he's a good actor.

It wasnt the actors fault, it wouldve been the director and how he wanted pac to be portrayed....as a livewire.

Realest should play 'Pac in the movie - it would be the closest thing you'll ever get to the real 'Pac with Kasinova giving his voice :D

Actually your right.
I even remember people actually buying an album by a rapper named Black Haze when I was in highschool and some even arguing it was Pac returning under a diffferent name and hiding behind someone elses face. Seems there were a lot of money making gimmicks in rap in those days, just ask Master P
-
Mackie wasn't horrible, the whole movie wasn't that good, i think that soccer player in my sig should play pac
-
It was bad. Almost like they purposely spoofed him to make him look bad. And of course they painted Biggie was a hero and an angel.

Suge Knight was actually played by the former WWF wrestler, Ahmed Johnson. The movie itself was a little weak. They played around with a lot of facts but the performances were alright.

That would be awful. They did that with the Biggie movie and that was one of the reasons it didn't work. They should find an actor, not somebody whose only acting qualification is that he resembles Tupac. Either way, I don't see a biopic on Pac being very good.
-
I remember in the scene when 2Pac and Biggie meet up at the 'Ready to Die' release party, they had Anthony Mackie wearing the orange shirt that 2Pac wore to the MGM Grand on the night he got killed. A lot of the film was quite laughable, actually.
-
Sooo they don't have an actor for the Pac movie yet, right ? I hoped for a 2014 release ..
-
They had Papa Doc from 8 Miles playing Pac.

it was awful...really no soul at all.
klientel would make a great pac, he actually auditioned for the pac role in the movie last year, I have some good footage of him doin pac on my phone

Pac was never wack, hater . so what bullshit are you on?
He's clearly saying that the actor who played Pac was whack which is what the thread is about.
