Title: Some love wounds do heal....
Post by: TraceOneInfinite on January 06, 2014, 05:30:43 PM
Scribe for the Tribe
with Allegience to the Ottoman Chief/
Expedition from desert to the Arabian Sea/
Traveling by night, guided by coolness of the moon/
We soon reached our destination,
set up camp, where I was faced with
Ghosts, jinn from the passed, laced up
the grass, the pure hashish stared at the Sea
thoughts took me back deep into my memory
Till I saw the glow of her face reflect off the sea
She introduced herself to me, as if I'd forgot
Lost was her beauty in all the years
Almost brought me to tears, didn't know what to say/
Try as we must, time always gets the last say
She'd given birth to many, lived in the arms of another/
Her face reflected the dryness of the deserts summer/
Myself, still clinging to my youth, keepin up fitness/
My mind struggled to make up the difference
all the years, and all the tears that I'd shed
to find out the love existed only in my head
The feelings left me immediately upon our reunion,
I felt the pain of love's memory set to ruin
When just then I remembered the words of Rumi
tears wash away old joy, and may way for new ones
pain gone, move on like a newborn, take back out to Sea
We penetrated deep into the enemy territory
I picked up the pen, looking for a new muse
to inspire to write of the new battles we got into
With new eyes I looked back upon the world once more
Just as Allah closes one way he opens up a new door
