LOL

You honestly think even in good weather broncos put up 34 on the best D in the league? Wow thats a bold statement considering they only scored 27 on chargers and 26 on a battered NE Defense and they only start scoring consistently in that game when Talib got injured...I think this is a bad matchup for Broncos and don't see them putting up more then 13 points to be honest.

Seattle wins 24-13

broncos scored 37 ppg, i'm picking them to play below their season average.

how's Seattle gonna guard Welker, Thomas, Thomas AND Decker?  if they do then Moreno and Ball will have huge games.

Can I trust Russell Wilson to make precise throws?  No.  Peyton?  Yes.

If this game was played in a dome it'd probably be 45-21 Broncos and Peyton would throw for as many yards as possible just to make a point that he's the best ever

not like Peyton has a valid case for best QB ever and his team has a valid case for best offense ever......while meanwhile the Seabags have no case for best defense ever........

you guys gave up 17 to a horrible QB in Kaepernick

Peyton won't throw those silly INT's in the 4th quarter with less than a minute to go...bank on that.  and you still haven't convinced me how Seattle can stop Welker, Thomas, Thomas and Decker and still prevent Moreno/Ball for running for 150

Well first, "Seabags" is without a doubt the most dumb name I've heard yet. You even admitted to me that you didn't know what it meant. Anyways, I don't care about people picking against the Hawks. You're just acting like they're going to be lucky to not get doubled up in points and completely blown to shit. When in reality, we haven't lost a game by more than 7 points in the last 2 seasons and beyond that. The Broncos do have a great offense, no doubt. But they haven't faced a defense of this caliber the entire season. And the "best defense" thing is a dumb comparison to make considering the fact that the NFL is set up to help offenses and teams put up great points. Put this Hawks defense in a past generation and it's a different conversation. As for the offense, yeah they've struggled, but it's been against some of the best defenses in the NFL, Denver is not one of those, or even close for that matter. Wilson has been told to play conservative all year, this team wants to run the ball, play good defense, and not make mistakes. He's proved that he can air it out when he has to. And you can hate on Kaepernick all you want, but dude could easily go down as the best running QB ever, and the team he plays on is arguably the most talented in the league. People have been doubting this team all season, and they keep proving people wrong.

"best running QB ever" is like being the "best 3 point shooting center ever" in basketball

..Yet he lead his team to a Superbowl and an NFC championship in his first two seasons as a starter.

lol what's with the NBA comparisons? All I'm saying is that he's a dangerous player who plays on the team many expected to win the Superbowl, so giving up 17 points isn't the blasphemous occurance that you're making it out to be.

put Kaep on the Jets and he's a nobody

the 49ers have a top 3 defense and a nice roster of weapons and solid o line.  even Sanchez can take a team like that deep in the playoffs and Sanchez sucks lol

I think the game will come down to the Denver D vs the Seattle offense. I expect a stalemate between Denver's offense and Seattle's D for the most part, especially if the weather gets bad. The questions will be can Knighton and Williams stop Lynch at the line? Can Shaun Phillips get to Wilson? Can DRC and the Safeties stop the deep balls?

That being said, I think that the possibility is greater for the Denver O to make a big play than it is for the Seattle D. Seattle's been exposed before on the road this season. The D isn't as good without the crowd at their back. And if Denver's D plays like they have been playing in January this could be a convincing win for Denver. But if Marshawn breaks open a few times and Peyton throws a couple picks, Seattle could run away with it early. Denver's going to have to play hurry up offense to keep Seattle from changing personnel.

Denver will knock jello brained Percy Harvin back into his coma by half time and it will come down to whether or not they can stop Marshawn Lynch on key plays.  Wilson will be forced to pass too much and will either win heroically or more likely fail.

The real shame is that Pete Carroll stalked Peyton when he was looking for a new team and ambushed him at an airport to get him to come to Seattle (Peyton was scared away and said he wasn't interested). Imagine the current Seahwaks with a Peyton Manning pass offense and Marshawn Lynch in the backfield. It wouldn't be fair.

they would have signed Welker too.  San Fran would have had Peyton if Harbaugh wasn't a dick and said that Peyton couldn't run his own offense.  not sure why Peyton took Denver over KC to be honest though lol

I'm not bashing your team. I wish he had gone to Seattle. but the facts are the facts. Pete Carrol found out Manning was visiting Denver and was on his way to visit Arizona. Carroll and GM John Schneider flew to Denver to try and catch him before going to Arizona. Peyton was in a Denver when he got a surprise phone call saying Carroll was waiting for him at the airport and that Manning and him could talk in Denver or he could come back to Seattle. Now I do think the urgency of this had a lot to do with Carroll simply not wanting him in the NFC West with the Cards, but he stalked by looking for info on where Peyton was, it wasn't dangerous creepy stalker but the word as defined is the right word to use, and he ambushed by sending a phone call that he was in Denver unannounced when Manning wasn't expecting it.

I have to watch just to see Richard Sherman pick off Manning in the 4th tied at 17 a piece.

Then spend from then until the start of baseball season listening to how it only got picked off because Welker didn't respond to the "Omaha" call properly.

I never knew all the details, but I had also heard that Manning had reached out to him before that. I'm glad they did that, shows how committed those two really are. I was really pissed when I heard he blew them off, cause we already had a great defense on the rise plus Marshawn in the backfield, but it's all worked out fine.

I really hope Seattle decides to have Sherman on Welker all night. Although Welk will probably find a way to take Sherm out of the game by quarter 2. And did I make a single excuse for Manning's pick in OT last season? Did I not call it all Manning's fault? A bad decision and a bad throw?

When it's Peyton's fault I say it's Peyton's fault. I've yet to hear you cast any blame on Brady for anything in his last 8 post season losses.

Typically, I'd say Sherman would get the assignments for Thomas or Decker since they are down field threats, but with the weather being what it is, the Slot game is going to be huge. Sherman on Welker will make it that much harder to get that going.

http://www.sbnation.com/nfl/2014/1/28/5353676/floyd-mayweather-bet-10-million-denver-broncos-super-bowl-2014

Quote
Reports are starting to surface out of Las Vegas that Floyd Mayweather is a real jerk who makes me hella-jealous. According to numerous gambling websites, Mayweather laid $10.4 MILLION on the Broncos to win the Super Bowl and cover the two-point spread. It's important to note that these reports are coming from gambling information networks, not from Floyd himself, so maybe take them with a grain of salt.

There are other reports that Floyd put $3 million on the Broncos to cover (-.5) at HALFTIME.

The five-division world champion has been known to wager large sums on sporting events, having won $400k betting on Alabama in last year's national title game. There were also reports that he put $3 million on Michigan to cover against Alabama earlier that season.

That's a far cry from dropping seven zeros on a single game. Even for a guy who has made over $350 million in his career, betting $10 million on a single game like this, if true, is one of the most stupid and ballsy things I've ever heard of. Floyd can do what he wants with his money, but that won't stop me from rooting for the Seahawks out of pure unadulterated jealousy that one man has enough cash to do this.

Pretty fucking ridiculous.

AFC is weak as all hell this year so Seahawks have it unless freak injury to Russ, Marshawn, or Sherman. Im not convinced by Denvers easy rinkydink schedule this season or their two playoff wins against the Chargers who got in on a blown call and the depleted New England Patriots. Seahawks had to play the Saints who are damn near a mirror image of the Broncos just that they play in a stronger conference so their record isnt as inflated and the 49ers the second most well balanced team in the entire nfl.

Seriously you can interchange broncos with saints in this paragraph and every corresponding position player to one on the saints and its the same thing yet the saints played the hawks twice this year took Ls in both games. 2nd game when they were able to fully realize what they were up against they managed to keep it somewhat close but still lost. First game they got straight destroyed didnt even look like an nfl team. Of course in the first game all they had seen was tape on the hawks up until then and probably had no idea how good they were until the game came and they got rocked. Broncos in that exact same position right now.

Demaryus Thomas = Marques Colston
Julian Thomas = Jimmy Graham (these two are so similar w/ their former bball backgrounds its ridiculous)
Eric Decker = Lance Moore
Wes Welker = Darren Sproles

What makes the Broncos weapons seem better is the fact that they have a better qb whos smarter and taller with better vision. But even with that said Drew Brees is still a future hof super bowl mvp qb so the dropoff between him n Peyton to me aint enough to justify people thinkin this is gonna be some cake walk for Peyton when Drew had one of the worst games Ive ever seen from him in his life against this same defense.
