Looking forward to this!
It still amazes me how much vol 1 was seemingly slept on. Vol one is fucking great and probably the closest thing that we've had to "streets iz a mutha" or a dpgc album (apart from a few south beats) in ages and was full of great tracks(yeah some were later released on other albums i know).
Vol 2 wasn't so great. I mean i like it, it has some real gems on there but wasn't as good as vol 1 and was more of a snoop solo and had more non dpg features with some random rnb songs thrown on and snoop lion remixes.
The track list for this one looks really good to me. Good to see Snoop an daz working together alot and i love seeing Snoop doin stuff with Soopafly. E-white also plus warren-G. Anyways i haven't heard any of it yet except for "whats your pleasure" so i guess tomorrow we will find out.

Can't wait for this!! The tracklist and features look good.

Yup some decent producers for sure. Always keen for some new DPG. particularly when they work together.
-
E-White back with DPGC? That's dope. Scott Storch landed a beat on this? Nice. I'm a definitely check this out.

This track with E-White is probably from "West Fest" mixtape - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cH4trf7YSL8
and "Ain't Nobody" is from "West Coast Ridah" mixtape.

Listening to it now.
I like 'Dick Walk', good to hear Snoop, Kurupt & Daz together on a decent track again.
-
Feeling, Dick Walk, Happy Birthday Pt 2 & Terradectacal.
Decent tape, better than the last one, I think.
Terradectacal track stood out for me.
That's the minimum standard Snoop should set for himself (Terradectacal) to stay relevant for more years.
-
is this all new material or just rare old mix tape isn?

Not sure

Some are new and some are several years old (released on other mixtapes). But some of the new tracks are very good, I really like this mixtape. Listening to the final track at the moment, which was released as "Long Gone" previously. That beat on "Freestyle" went hard, wouldn't mind an instrumental for that one. Also some other tracks had some great instrumentals. 8)

some bangers on here....i can't wait for the No DJ version...these tags are annoying as hell... the tags are louder than the song so you can't play the shit loud...
-
that shit wit him and madlib is heat, he shoulda did an album like that wit him.
-
The terradectal song on here is crazy, :o
-
dl right now.
-
TIGHT ABOUT TIME SNOOP BACK ON HIS REAL GANGSTA SHIT NOT THAT REGGAE POP SHIT! KEEP IT DPG GFUNKIN SNOOP THATS WHERE YOU SHINE THE MOST!
-
I'll prolly listen to it tomorrow.
-
I finally got around to listening to this. Pretty dope overall. Some great new material. There are songs that are really dope and had me like Snoop dogg/dpg are back! Like just the sort of beats i like to hear em over and hearin em together.
The sound quality is decent, the dj tagging is very minimal so don't let that put you off. Some good westcoast style beats and the southern sound quite minimal too.
Most of the songs are new to me but as mentioned some songs are old. i think "aint nobody" was a ego trippin left over? may have even been on a chuuch tape?
"aint it man' a old dogghouse era song left over that ended up on a mix tape.
Also as mentioned "gangstas dont live that long" was originally titled "long gone" it was a blue carpet treatment left over and ended up on the digital album "unreleased heat rocks".
pretty cool mix tape over all but kinda strange to have old songs on there.
-
Wow cant beleive this is actually released on physical cd ...

Still bumping to some tracks from the tape. Real solid effort from the crew, really liked it as well.
"Ain't Nobody" was a "Ego Trippin'" bonus track in Australia (and maybe Japan) and was titled "Nobody Better" on the CD. Always hate it when some countries get extra track releases. ;)
-
Ah i was thinking that song may have actually been on "ego trippin" lol i live in Australia and own the cd.

Japan pressing had the Bonus track 'Shoot em up'
Thats the copy i've got

Ah, alright. "Ego Trippin'" had two bonus tracks then, thanks for the info. Totally forgot about "Shoot 'Em Up".
Japan also had "I C U" as a bonus cut on "Malice N Wonderland". Japan is big music market and I guess that's why there are many extras on Japanese releases. But I also want those tracks to be included on my copies as well, at least there is the internet to share some of the bonus tracks. :P

Think Japan labels have a deal where they get exclusives, as the albums cost a small fortune out there as it is!
I got the import coz my first copy looked like a bootleg (Malaysian pressing I think)
-
Somebody upload that "Shoot 'Em Up" in 320kbps.

I can get u on that later big dawg
-
They put bonus tracks on the Japanese CD's so people over there will buy the local version instead of the import.

Solid mixtape 8)
Video for "Gangstas Don't Live That Long"

-
like this vid, cool one!
-
Dope video. Thought it's one of those usual "stand in front of camera in a hotel room" type of video, but that one was cool. 8)
-
is a no dj version of this tape coming out???
-
are all these "thats my work" tapes officially pressed? where they sellin em at??
-
Not sure about the hard pressed copies? I remember seeing pressed copies of "bacc to tha chuuch" in a music video but ive never seen one for sale either. Not sure about these tapes though?
Glad that song "long gone/gangstas dont live that long" finally got some shine 8)
Heres another video from the album "happy birthday pt 2"
Not as good a song but better video :)
https://www.youtube.com/v/yycWXxiZS_o
From watching these two videos it would seem that Snoop has a new hobbie? Snoop getting into painting by the looks of it? I wonder if that will go anywhere? lol at the rich looking white bitches all looking at his paintings all impressed. But hey why not, if i were rich and had more time on my hands id learn how to do shit like that too.
And hes playing the piano now? :D
Iam gonna post this video too for the fuck of it. Iam not sure where its from but its new to me?

Hmm weird i dont recall ever hearing about this track but it sounds familiar. I recognize the hook and some of the lyrics and part(s) of the beat but the beat overall sounds unfamiliar? Iam not sure if this track was released elsewhere but a bit different?
Reminds me of something from malice in wonder land or more malice? Sure i heard this though? maybe a mix tape or a you tube video or something?
-
Somebody upload that "Shoot 'Em Up" in 320kbps.
http://www7.zippyshare.com/v/92825104/file.html
-
Thanks a lot! Didn't have the track in 320 kb/s. 8)
They also did a small video for the song during a promo photo shooting as a teaser track for "Malice N Wonderland".
-
If anyone cares (LOL) here's an earlier version of the track called 'Got It Locked' (probably ganked from Snoop's mysapce back in the day)

he put out another video from the tape;
http://www.youtube.com/v/Lsfxh0gXCVE
Not a bad vid. Snoop talks for a bout a minute and a half before the song kicks in.
-
not bad

-
Is there a No DJ version out there for me to listen to?
-
Not that i am aware of but as i said on this particular tape the tagging is very minimal.
-
"feels like heaven" is such a classic 8)
another one of those magical soopafly/snoop tracks where its obvious soopa wrote it and snoop executed it...
-
Very strong tape, Vol. 1 was already pretty dope and seriousley underrated, Vol. 2 was weak but this one is nice again.
"Feel Like Heaven" is fucking dope, so is "Cadillacs" and many more tracks. Altough there are some fillers, its a nice tape.
PS:
Don't think Soopafly wrote "Feel Like Heaven"
