Title: Lakers' botched tank job reminds me of the movie "Major League"
Post by: Halu Sination on March 09, 2014, 08:58:20 PM
Lakers' ownership, much like Cleveland Indians' ownership, want to lose every game, although for different reasons, so they put together a very inept team. Unfortunately, the Lakers' line-up (unlike most other teams tanking) refuse to roll over and die. There will be a game like the Clippers game where they get completely demolished, but they always seem to start the next game with a fresh mentality.

The big difference is Cleveland had something to fight for as an entire team. Lakers definitely aren't making the play-offs; they're playing hard for their individual contracts going into next season. They're all young and actually have a future to fight for.

Jim Buss fails at tanking.
