overall I'll give this a 3.5/5 since I went into this with the mentality of it going to suck but there were some joints I really liked on here 8)
the beats are straight heroin on wax
-
Dope Album !! 8)
it's been a loooong long that we ain't see a gangsta rap commercial release
-
Pleasantly surprised, been banging this all day today.

gonna check later.

The music video for Left, Right reminds me of Who Am I? by Snoop Doggy Dogg. Only this one's 10 times better because it replaced black people morphing into dogs with random bitches shaking their asses.

couldnt agree MORE.
you know an artist will b a LEGEND when the video is on some random shit for the 1st 5 minutes, no music playing or NOTHING.
CONFIDENCE!
-
You know what, I'm fuckin shocked...this album is DOPE. I will actually be purchasing this.
-
I've already talked so much shit about this that there is no way I can bump it without looking like a complete hypocrite... :'(
-
This dude really wanted Suga Free on his track?? I can see it to get him noticed, but this guy's sloppy ass flow ain't even close. Suga Free on anyone else's track makes them sound like shit to me. I bet Dr. Stank's album will put this to shame.

this just reminds me of your typical south video ass and bitches nothing new here

Just bought it on itunes cause of the few joints I heard which were all dope.
-
I'm thinking of copping this cuz it does slap hard but I feel I did too much prior hating on YG

A lot of us did. I mean "Toot It & Boot It" was corny. Dude seemed like another Tyga, but he's done a hell-of-a turn around. Be proud of the kid.
-
i like it but DJ Mustard's mixtape ketchup with YG all over it was far better
-
not bad, you listenable but still too new school for me.
-
Has a great vibe to it. Maybe a bit too much "Bickin Back and Bein Bool" type blood flaunting on it to truly go big time, but its dope.
He needs to lay off the constant red ragging, that shit doesn't help his cause. Nobody's doing that shit anymore cause its old news.
-
I feel like he was repping his shit hard to weed out the Lil Waynes and YMCMBs of the game that claim Blood
probably wants to restore the feeling like when Game hit the scene flagging
-
Mixed feeling this. YG is so low on style, personality, lyrics, flow that as well as not really getting a feel for him as an artist, by the end of the album I still wasn't immediately sure which rapper he was on some of the posse cuts. Dude wants to sound like wayne, nelly and suga free all at the same time.
Similar to Q he flits about with his sound. The mark of either a complete novice that needs direction to sound good, or a dude with no real personality/persona. The tribute sound to classic West stuff was nice, but he was also kinda ripping stuff off with it. Terrace Martins sounds were actually a high spot. He def works best as a co producer as I've said before
In short an interesting album in terms of diversity but quality is just as irregular. And whatever highs the album achieves, YG is always the weakest link in the chain (obviously K.Dot bodying him on his own shit was expected but that goes without saying)
5.5/10
