Just mad that Kobe wasn't as good at getting to the line because he was to busy launching a awful long two as Shaq has deep position with his man.

Harden also racks up more assists than Kobe ever did.  It's cool to watch the best SG get everyone involved and not take him 10 years to figure how to pass.

like when they let you beat the Kings in the playoffs?

i know the CP3 trade stings but that was for the fairness of the league....the Red Sox tried to trade Manny Ramirez for A-rod and the commish rejected it.  A-rod later went to the Yankees.  Shit like this happens in sports all the time.

Maybe the Lakers should have offered more to get CP3.

LAKERS  OFFER WAS BETTER THAN NEW ORLEANS'

ALSO GAMES WERE REFFED IN FAVOR OF THE KINGS IN THE INFAMOUS SERIES U BROUGHT UP

OR WHEN REFS FUCKED US WIT DETROIT

THE REFS WANTED DETROIT TO BEAT THE LAKERS?  LMAO

more like Detroit had a real team with real athletes while the the Lakers had Shaq, Kobe and a bunch of old guys.  Detroit outplayed the Lakers every game that series.  first "5 game sweep" lol

U CANT HAVE IT BOTH WAYS...IF U WANNA SAY REFS HELPED LAKERS VS SACRAMENTO, IT WAS WELL-DOCUMENTED THAT THE REFFING IN THE LAKERS-PISTONS SERIES OF '04 HEAVILY FAVORED DETROIT....WHO KNOWS STERNS MOTIVE. PARITY? TO SHOW THE LAKERS THAT U CANT BUY A TITLE? EVERY1 TIRED OF THE LAKERS' REIGN AT THE TOP? CINDERALLA STORY FOR THE NBA? I DUNO...BUT BOTTOM LINE IS THAT THE THE REFFING WAS EXTREMELY ONE SIDED IN THAT SERIES, SO IF U WANNA SAY THE KINGS GOT FUCKED (EVEN THO IT'S BEEN PROVEN THAT THE LAKERS-KINGS SERIES WAS REFFED FOR EXTENSION, NOT FOR THE LAKERS TO WIN), THEN U HAVE TO GO THE OTHER WAY WITH IT TOO...

Kobe ignored Shaq and shot them out of the series.  If Malone was healthy the Lakers may have won but if my aunt had balls she'd be my uncle.

Nik you are a huge faggot that brings down the Laker franchise just by typing in all caps the way you do.

Face it, the Pistons beat the piss out of the Lakers.  They let Shaq do what the want and let Kobe shoot the team out of the game.  It was excellent coaching by Larry Brown and hilarious to watch.  5 game sweep.

Once Kobe retires hopefully you will go away.  Actually stick around so we can laugh at you and your shitty fucking team.

LAKERS  OFFER WAS BETTER THAN NEW ORLEANS'

False. Kevin Martin, Luis Scola & Lamar Odom is not a better deal than Eric Gordon, Chris Kaman, Al Farouq-Aminu and a First Round pick that ended up being Austin Rivers.

The Hornets were LEAGUE owned (meaning all the other owners owned a portion of the team). They were STRUGGLING to find a buyer. They needed to get cheaper to look more appealing. Martin, Scola and Odom would've been paid nearly 29 Mil in that season, with the other group making just about 19 Mil. 10 Million in savings for a team who's goal is to get cheaper. On top of that, they did not want to be good or even decent. They wanted to be bad. Martin, Scola and Odom makes them just good enough to be a double digit draft pick team. That's not what they wanted. David Stern did what his owners, the people who pay his salary, asked him to do. Mark Cuban. Dan Gilbert. They all stood up to this and said it was wrong. The league's owners weren't going to let another team get in and steal away the best Point Guard in the league like that. Stern didn't fuck the Lakers. Jimmy Buss not going to bat and trying to smooth out the situation, that fucked the Lakers.

Maybe they should have taken the Rockets/Lakers deal just so they wouldn't have drafted Austin Rivers.

are we forgetting the biggest part of the deal? pau gasol....it was clearly the better trade. the laker front office (jerry was alive at the time) tried everything they could, but it was made clear that the lakers were not landing cp3.

u cant veto a trade because u want to be bad lol....that's not how it works bru. I see what ur saying, but the pau package was clearly much better at the time.

Didn't forget. Pau was to be routed to Houston, in exchange for Scola and Martin. He would not have helped New Orleans, if anything they're getting hosed twice. That would be Odom for CP3 and Pau for Scola and Martin. Not very even for New Orleans. The Lakers lobbied the league office, but the directive came from the owners. Jimmy (Jerry was already ill I believe) should've picked up the phone and contacted Cuban, Gilbert and the others who spoke out to smooth things over.

You can't veto a trade just because you want to be bad, but you can veto a trade if it doesn't help you get to your destination. The destination for the Hornets at the time was not the Playoffs. They goal was the sell the team. It was hard to find a buyer WITH CP3, how would they find a buyer with Scola, Odom and Kevin Martin? If they were getting Pau, they would've been a better team, but again, Pau was being routed to Houston. So, to sell the team and make them look attractive, you get younger and cheaper.

you're also forgetting dragic LOL

imagine new orleans with dragic and davis right now...damn.

clippers trade made them worse, yes, but they woulda been a lottery team regardless. duno if u remember, but it was the general consensus that the laker package was better immediately after the trade. the veto was 100% because the league was tired of the lakers dictatorshipesque reign. that was cuban's and gilbert's main gripe with stern.
