-
I remember it used to be one of the main songs that played on the Death Row site around ten years ago, since it was on both the Dysfunktional Family soundtrack and the Against the Grain album.

His 'Tha Row' material from that era is all good/decent. Shame that album wasn't better than it turned out. Beats bang tho

Not sure what you guys are talking about, I always thought his Death Row 2000's era stuff was some of the worst stuff of his career. Against The Grain was pretty terrible, and a lot of the unreleased stuff that came out over the years from that era has been garbage. His verse on Petey Pablo's "Too Much" is one of the worst verses I've heard in rap period.
His best stuff to me from that era was "The Past" and his verse on Petey's "Off The Chain." Other than some rare spots here and there, to drop off from "Tha Streetz" and "Space Boogie" to what he was during that era never made sense to me.

SHit I thought that album had several dope tracks to be honest.

yup...whatever will says, u can pretty much chalk it up as the opposite. kurupt has been way better lately than he was durin his second death row tenure.
-
Reading skills not too hot Nik?
Where did I say he hasn't done better since, brobro
-
that "Against The Grain" album had some underrated production by Mark Sparks and others..."I Didn't Change" off of The Originals CD was dope as well
-
can someone hook me up with a mp3 of Off Tha Chain i cant find that fuckin song anywhere it was a banger back in the day
-

If we talk about skills, Kurupt was better on Originals than Against tha Grain. If talka bout beats than second album win for sure.

good job bein a retard....when did I say u said that? im just laughin at you thinking that kurupt was good during his second row tenure, when that was obviously the low point of his career

I didn't change. One of his very best, if not best since leaving Death Row
-

When I bought Against tha Grain thought that it's gonna contains OG, but it's the same version what was on Dysfunktional Family. So where is original?
-
I was so hyped for this song when someone leaked the snippet (nino brown I think it was). Needless to say I was disappointed when it was finally released and I had to listen to my favorite rapper struggle to comprise a verse.

Yeah it was definitely his low point... and that's too bad because it would of been cool to see Suge make a comeback (as long as he stopped fuccing with Snoop and Dre).
...The drop off from the Death Row Kurupt to the Kuruption thru Space Boogie era was significant like from being an MVP candidate to barely making the All-Star game, but he was still a fuccing factor no doubt. He was still holding his own... but the drop off from the Space Boogie Tha Row era was like going from still being an All-Star in the NBA to being out of the league.

I would call him more like Jason Kidd. He's more in a KRS-1 role as a sort of West Coast ambassador of the hip-hop culture.

He's a professional drink spiller

very good and underrated album
-
Although "I'm Back" (later added by KOCH on ATG) was a decent song, nothing to do with bangers iike "I Didn't Change". Against Tha Grain is still an underrated and forgotten album. But, with this Mark Sparks and Sir Jinx productions, it's a solid album recorded by Kurupt, Death Row VP and ambassador. The last DR album too.

Average album but i do like this track. In fact Ive used it as a bit of a theme song on a couple of occasions.
I was MIA from my gaming clan then when i reappeared i made a thread saying i am back and posted this song(lol) and just now on face book i used this song as the football team i suppourt just beat a very good side after loosing to a shit side previous game so its like Iam(we are) back!
Pretty cool song though but i agree, the worst moment of his career, going back to tha row.
