Title: 2 markets in two days
Post by: ITW [the irish boy] on March 28, 2003, 12:39:42 PM
This is the second market full of people that has been bombed in two days? What the fuck? Smart bombs my ass. This kind of shit just angers people. You have just killed 70 civilians in two markets alone and the hurt is just gonna turn to hate. You think you'll win the "hearts and minds" of a mother who has lost her son by giving her some water and bread? Man this is some fucked up shit.

And as for Rumsfeld saying syria supplying weapons to iraq is hostile and they'll pay for it. Why is it so wrong to try and even up the war, a few night vision glasses might just level the playing field a bit. Even you pro war folk must say that the Iraqi soldiers are unbelievably brave in comparison to the coalition, standing up to that kinda force. Man im tired of britain invading everywhere. The US is heading towards becoming the worlds most hated nation, taking over from the brits.

Just one question. If Iraqi's in the US were to bomb a strategic target such as the white house or the pentagon would this be called terrorism or an act of war? Somehow it seems what is described as war in iraq would be called terrorism in other countries.

Yea good points there ITW.

It seems that as the bombs get smarter, the people firing them get dumber.

And yea you're right about the Iraqi soldiers being brave. There's been well over a thousand of them killed against only a handful of the US high-tech army. They're still fighting, even though they're getting crushed and their bases and supplies have been bombed. Gotta have respect for that.

Another news bit from today, the coalition found an old hospital that was converted to an Iraqi base, and found gasmasks and such. Because of this they seem to think Iraq definitely has chemical weapons. Obviously they didnt actually find any of these weapons, just like last week when they found that 'deadly' cement factory.

Accidents happen.

I think they should be able to supply Iraq with weapons, but they should be prepared for the consequences that come with helping them out.

I agree.  As long as it wasn't a sneak attack.  The U.S. is hitting strategic targets with the Iraqis knowing and have been warned it's coming.

ITW: Yeah, they're brave. And yeah, Syria can be provide weapons if they want. Let them accept the consequences.

C2K: The US is paying Iraqi civilians to plant spy cams, bombs, etc. By the same token, is Iraq allowed to pay US civilians to do the same?

Kaidy: The point is this...Iraq knows the US will not use NBC weapons (apart from the godawful TV station), so why is it giving its troops suits? The only other reason is propaganda, to convince the troops the US is evil, which is a possible reason for supplying them with suits.

Yes, these two countries are at war.  If the States do it, they shouldn't cry if the Iraqis do the same thing.  I think the spy cams are fine but I'm not sure about having the civilians planting bombs.

Ima remind you on dat one...

Okay  ???

Thanks for the favor.
