From 91-99 no way Daz can not make any top 5 list whether rappin or producin or both.
Em only had one classic in the 90's, Nas only had one classic in the 90's, Xzibit still had not gone platinum
So after Snoop, Dre, and Pac... no way Daz is not next. He was flawless in the 90's and everything he dropped was fire with no mistakes. That's a nearly impossible feat.
Name even 1 weak song or verse from daz in the 90's?? I'm waiting....

I think you getting a little carried away but hey, Daz is dope. But yeah ridiculous call in that era. RR&BD dope, yeah Raw good and of course dogg food, dillinger and young gotti, etc. But in my honest opinion daz best albums are "dpgc u know hat iam throwin up" and "this is the life i lead' which came a bit later.
Daz i love his dpg albums n solos but to say he top five in the golden era is a BIG massive call!
Kurupt had better albums, so did snoop, nas, wu tang, bone, collio, ice cube, scareface, dj quik, warren g, sadat x, del, pharcyde, nine, luniz, geeze man i cant keep going, so many east coast etc. dont get me wrong though i was a massive daz fan during this era, a massive dpg fan.
But theres so many dope rappers and producers during that era. top 20 for sure.

-
he wasn't even in top 5 producers during those years and not even a top 50 rapper
-

Who gives a fuck about top 5. All I know is when Daz was producin that G funk gangsta shit it was fuckin dope loc
-
Does anybody know what's up with Carl "Butch" Small? Daz should work with him.
-
If we're talking DPGC:
Lady of Rage > Soopafly > Daz
-

Daz was my favourite producer from '96-'98.
I'll never forget the first time I heard Way Too Major back in October of 1997, matter of fact I still play that song from time to time.
And for me, RR&GB was one of the best albums of 1998.

is infinite trying to say Daz was a rapper was better than some of the following: 2pac, Nas, Big L, Kool G Rap, Jeru the Damaja, Kurupt, Ice Cube, Biggie, all of Wu Tang, all of Boot Camp Clique AND Redman??
i....salute this level of trolling.

Pssshh, you not even had one single dream of Suge getting home from work and you preparing dinner for the both of you. Pretty bold of you commenting ANYTHING Death Row related.
-
yeah he was good but not on Dre/Quik level
He may not be on Dre's level.. but as for Quik... Rythamalism was some of Quik's better work, but you put that album up next to what Daz was doing at the time Revenge Retaliation Get Back and that shit sounds like nursery rhymes
-
Humbly disagree. Dre and Quik were the top producers of the time. Daz was tight with his but you're doing too much hyping on this one.

I don't know about "nursery" rhymes but it's fair to compare both of them at that time on the mic
production... it's a no brainer Quik was and always will be superior
-
^ fuck soowoop

Soon Infinite will tell us that we don't understand how "deep" lyrics Daz has or some shit. I love Daz, but come on, you just made a topic similar to this.

This shit ain't trollin.. y'all act like its hard to believe a Ficca like Infinite would big up Daz over Quik but I'm only statin the obvious, its y'all that are pullin all the hype around here... let's not forget its Daz that was kickin over buildings on rotation on MTV and BET and its Daz that was sellin multiplatinum with Dogg Food and its Daz thaat was behind Pacs megahits that white folks in the suburbs know every word to.. its Daz that was on "Doggy Dogg World" back in 93 when I didn't even know who the fuck Quik was, ficcaz around my way was bumpin Dax.
Outside of die hard fans like us people hardly know who Quik is, but they definitely remember the Dogg Pound...its y'all that are rewriting history, I'm stating the fuccing obvious...
Now as for Daz lyrics bein so deep y'all can't understand, naw I never said that shit. Daz was a St8 up G, he let Snoop doin all the superstar stuff, let Pac do all the revolutionary philosophical shit, let Kurupt do all the tyranical titanuim tyrantula gargantua type shit.... A ficca like Daz just go for the throat and jugalar. He take the ball and go st8 to the rim because he knew it was his time to shine and he took the ball and ran with it full steam ahead he rode for death row and dpg to the fullest.... only time he changed was when Suge had Snoop beat up when Snoop was with No Limit, and Daz knows Snoop is his cousin and he had to draw the line at that point...

Raw was a classic in the Streetz b4 in DA Storez but we knew that AlR3ady so FUCK YOU 4 Tarollllllllllllin us Infidel?

1-daz had Soopafly doing half the work
2-Safe + Sound is better than anything Daz produced

Daz is in and out of my top 5 of all time - he is a legend, and a great one.
BUT! Nas having one classic - dude is a top 3 for me. Pac -> Game -> Nas.. with snoop, daz , T.i, J.Cole(2albums, 8? mixtapes he is a fuckin beast), Cube fighting for the last two, and it changes depending on my mood - I swear i even had Method man in there once.. wth.
Anyways Nas has way more than one classic in the 90's like he said "he is like pac, a dude you will cry for" his story telling is above anyone, and the emotion in his rhymes only Game, Pac, and T.I can match.

Kurupt was 10x the rapper Daz was in the 90's and even he wasnt a top 5 MC

Yes rapper BUT not producer. Daz created some dope fucking beats! I still say Daz was the best. DJ quik was to soft in my opinion.

So because they make hits they cant be dope MC's? - T.I is motivational as hell, Emotionel rhymes, good lyrics and a good delivery what else do you want? Game is same, just got a better delivery.
