Bro get off that shit. And btw if you want to separate American born with foreign born pitchers, Tanaka doesn't win there either. Felix is better.

12-4 with a 2.51 ERA in the AL after going 24-0 with a 1.27 ERA in Japan last year??

Tanaka is gonna finish with like 15-18 wins despite missing over a month of play.  and he'd be starting this damn all star game if he wasn't hurt.

Lol @ Shelix, did you come up with that all by yourself? Felix is the better pitcher and you're the only person here who disagrees.

has Shelix gone 36-4 in his last 40 decisions?  or has he ever had that record over a 40 game stretch?

Tanaka's been the best pitcher on earth for a few years now, don't penalize him for being in Japan most of that time.  Check the stats my G.

It's a different league bro, lower level competition. How about citing his stats here?

lower level of comp yet the japanese won 2 of the 3 world baseball classics?  USA doesn't even sniff the top 3

The WBC doesn't mean shit to the US, they were running out guys like Willie fuckin Bloomquist, it's not like USA Basketball where all the big names want to be part of it. I don't think I've ever heard anyone mention the WBC as a serious thing. So your only argument is that he was a beast in a league overseas with inferior talent? Got it.

Great sig BTW.

i've come to the understanding that the japanese leagues are better than any American minor league systems but not at the MLB level.  you act like he's pitching unreliable statistics of the 1930s negro leagues or something, where they (sadly) never kept full stats.

you know Tanaka's stats in the MLB.  top notch.  sadly he'll be out the next month but that doesn't take away from him being a Cy Young candidate as long as he has another 5-7 starts.

I have respect for what they do over there, obviously there's plenty of legit pitching talent with guys like Darvish, Iwakauma, and Tanaka just coming in the last few years. But like I said in another thread, their single season home run leader (Balentein) was an MLB washout. Dude couldn't even find a spot on the historical offensively inept Mariners who drafted him. And who from Japan has come over and made any kind of legit offensive impact outside of Ichiro and Matsui? (who are treated like absolute gods over there). And if you wanna compare them head to head here Felix's stats for the most part have just been better.
