Imagine if DJ Quik or DJ Pooh or Battlecat etc..they were responsible for the new 2PAC album..
Can only mix and add small details on the Death Row OG'S.
What's your tracklist? 14 TRACKS .
Mine is:

2 - If There's a Cure feat. Snoop Dogg [ Full Version, 3 verses ] [ sample Diana Ross - Love Hangover and Don Jagwarr - The Cure ]
3 - Late Night feat. DJ Quik and AMG [ w/ DJ Quik and AMG verses ] [ sample Donald Byrd - Wind Parade, Esther Phillips - Last Night Changed It Alll and Richard Pryor - Have Your Ass Home by 11:00 ]

Great album!!

1. "Soon As I Get Home" - Bootleg version of the track. I know Pac said he didn't write any songs in prison because his creative spirit died, but this gem sounds like something he could of written while locked up.
2. "Play Your Cards Right" - Bootleg version was incredible, really thoughtful introspective lyrics, like a conscious love song, some of the best lyrical performance the Outlaws ever did, can't believe they would cut them out of the song... not that Keysia Coles trash that came out.
3. "R U Still Down" - Jon B. version. Brings Pac back to life, great song to think about a girl from back in the day, wondering if she's still down
4. "Never Call U Bitch Again" - Pac must've been fond of this track before he died, he even performed it at the House of Blues. Even though Pac was on top of the world at the times he could still write tracks so down to Earth
5. "Better Dayz" - same like Never Call U Bitch
6. "Still I Rise" - great track, great lyrics, Outlaws at their best
7. "Thug In Me" - the O.G. bootleg version with Val Young, Pac even bragged about this track before he died
8. "Who Do You Believe In" - one of the tracks that morphes Pac into more than just a rapper, but a spiritual figure, a black Jesus, a Hip-Hop Prophet
9. "You Can't Fade Me" - the bootleg, O.G. cut had a really cool beat, very smooth, and the Outlaws and Pac really bonding and producing synergy on this cut
10. "NY 87" - Dogg Pound, Death Row, Pac.. can't beat that
11. "Tear Drops and Closed Caskets"
12. "Me and My Homies"
13. "Initiated"
14. "Until The End of Time"

"Soon As I Get Home" is fire... and Master P loved that beat so much he used it on two No Limit albums. One was that track Snoop did with MiaX, lol... Master P and CMurder even took one unreleased Pac track and bit the lyrics, beat, everything from it
-
Mine would look a little something like this (and I'll try to put it in a decent order too, so there's a distinct vibe to the album):
1. Only Move 4 The Money - these are some of 2Pac's best verses; so much crazy energy to match Daz' high energy g-funk production, and we need to hear the original version sooner rather than later.
2. Late Night (OG version) - a great track that would have made an excellent addition to 'All Eyez On Me', both AMG and DJ Quik do their thing on this track, and I have to admit I slightly prefer this version to the one from 'Better Dayz' due to DJ Quik's additional production.
3. Wherever U R (Sho' Shot) - Another track with mad energy from Pac and a surprisingly fast flow that he didn't show off often enough in my opinion. I love the way he trades verses with Big Daddy Kane on this one.
4. Secretz Of War (Rulez Version) - again, one of Pac's best verses that he did during his time on Death Row, I love his energy right off the bat as he lists the 'rules', and the beat is hype and is such a head-nodder that it deserves inclusion on anyones list.
5. 'When I Get Free' - I enjoy the vibe of this track, Pac is on his 'I don't give a fuck, I'm on top of the world' type of attitude, and, even though the beat is kind of sparse, it still works and Pac's lyrics suit it.
6. Breathin' - A classic with the chorus that immediately stands out and the reworked Isley Brothers sample. Another of 2Pac's best verses with a lot of memorable lines.
7. LastOnesLeft - Another 'Fuck Bad Boy Records, we can't be stopped' type of vibe on this one. Great chorus too, and it's cool to hear 2Pac shout out all of the Death Row inmates towards the end.
8. Grab The Mic (Starin' Through My Rearview Pt 2) - 2Pac's verses are deep on this track, and it shows you how he was capable of writing really meaningful verses in amongst all the thug stuff that people normally associate him with when they think about his output on Death Row Records.
9. Never Call You Bitch Again - there are a few versions of this track out there; the one I would include is the solo version that lets the chorus ride out and doesn't have Danny Boy or Val Young on it. It has a really relaxed vibe to it but the verses are all poignant, clearly had a lot of meaning to Pac and most likely arose from a real life event with his girl.
10 Keep Ya Head Up II - again, the verses on this are very poignant due to the sensitive subject matter and it's a side to 2Pac that he didn't often showcase when you look at what was actually released on Death Row.
11. Reincarnation - This might be my favourite 2Pac verse that he ever did and for this alone it merits inclusion on the list. The vibe of the song is melancholy and Pac's verse fits it perfectly.
12. Until The End Of Time - a completely different feel to to the one that was actually released, but this version works really well and the chorus really adds to the impact of the verses.
13. The Good Die Young - it seems fitting to bring the album to a near close with this joint. One of 2Pac's many prophetic tracks and for the obvious reasons it adds weight to the song. Great hook from Val Young too. Hopefully we get to hear the original version soon.
14. Untouchable Freestyle - I know technically it's not really a proper track, but I just had to include it at the end because it's simply put one of the best freestyles ever done, and it really has that feel to it where 2Pac was on top of the rap game and it's as if he knew his time was almost up and he had to do this to get it off his chest and secure his legacy. A perfect closure to the album.
Damn, this was really hard to do! I had to think and rethink a lot of this list, and I still left out some of my favourite stuff. Just goes to show the incredible body of work that 2Pac left.

I thought they did an excellent job touching up this track for the Still I Rise release. They were able to clean it up a bit and make it into a hit single. I think the album version from Still I Rise is better... In fact, I am more than satisfied with that whole project, that was a great album, and I think they improved those tracks.
...BTW, I have a bootleg Pac song I was bumping yesterday that caught my attention. The Chorus is like a sample that says... "Somebody in the house say.. yeahhhh/ Starin at the world through my rearview"...
The lyrics all sound different than the official release of "Starin At The World" and the beat is different. Pac is droppin some nice verses on this one though. Anybody know the name of this O.G. track and if it was remade on one of Pac's posthumous albums?

So what you tellin me you think the album version if better than the OG still I rise? You must be truppin my nigga, Pac didnt approve any of that bullshit. The still I rise OG track is the bomb nigga. Cant fuckin believe they took out big style in the album version.

I love the O.G. "Still I Rise"... honestly it's not even that much different from the album version. That one is nearly a toss up. But, when it comes to the albums R U Still Down, Still I Rise, and Until The End of Time, I am one of those rare Pac diehard fans who prefers the album cuts to the O.G. versions most of the time.
Just look at tracks like "Until The End of Time", "Wonder If Heaven Got A Ghetto", "To My Unborn Child", and to a lesser degree even "Black Jesus", "Hell 4 A Hustler" they were able to transform those joints into an epic, timeless songs. You really think the O.G. for tracks like that is better? And you can't say that the touch up on beats like "Letter To The President" didn't make that shit bump

this is what i'd do but it wouldn't be to get the most sales, it'd just be for the dopest songs
1 Soon As I Get Home (with Kadafi)
2 Friends
3 Niggaz Nature
4 Late Nite (i'd mix in both the Kadafi/Fatal and AMG/DJ Quik verses for one mega mix)
5 As The World Turns (with Outlawz)
6 Watch Ya Mouth
7 Grab The Mic
8 Don't Go To Sleep (with Fatal and EDI)
9 Troublesome '96
10 Still I Rise (with Fatal and Kadafi)
11 Wherever U Are (with Big Daddy Kane)
12 Never Be Peace (with Marvelous and Storm)
13 Thug Luv (with Bone Thugs)
14 Come With Me (interlude)
15 If There's A Cure (with Snoop)
wanted to use Pain but since it was a '94 song it wouldn't fit the other songs vocals.
not a lot of Pac solo's which might piss some off but i could care less because it's got mad replay value regardless.

Dope albums in this bitch! Tupac fans have some good taste. I'll do mine:
1. As the World Turns
2. Untouchable
3. Secretz of War
4. Thug in Me
5. Just Watching
6. Play Your Cards Right
7. Letter 2 My Unborn Child
8. Reincarnation
9. Soon As I Get Home
10. Watch Ya Mouth
11. Lil Homies
12. Friendz
13. Tongue Kissin
14. Where U Been
15. Thug Nigga
"Soon As I Get Home" is fire... and Master P loved that beat so much he used it on two No Limit albums. One was that track Snoop did with MiaX, lol... Master P and CMurder even took one unreleased Pac track and bit the lyrics, beat, everything from it
see the firm, five minutes to flush

I prefer the OG'S .
RU Still Down,Still I Rise and Until are good albums..but the og's (even with low quality) are better.
Example is on this Baby Don't Cry..i prefer the OG because:
First : In Still I Rise ..They remove the elements interpolation of Guy - Goodbye Love. This maked the beat more simple..and .less smooth.
Second : That female background vocals on the chorus. The concept of the song is about Tupac telling the story of a woman who was raped, imagining in her place. And in the chorus he tells her.."don't cry..keep ya head up". is about ONE MAN telling to ONE WOMan to be strong. the woman voice in the chorus telling the same thing is out of context for me .
But, like i said .. are good albums.
Better Dayz was average ...that "Thugz Mansion acoustic with Nas" is trash .
Loyal To The Game..was a terrible mistake. Save The DJ Quik and The Saadiq REMIXES, and the Artwork is cool.
Eminem fucked up 2pac legacy..this is a faggot who wanted to make dollarz on pac image..afeni is on crack lets this happen
Pac's life another tragedy...but nothing compares with Loyal to The Game..Eminem should be ashamed of this
Fuck this Dr Dre ex-chauffeur

After Until The End of Time, the albums they put together weren't as good because they had less material to work with and they used too many people that Pac never worked with... Better Dayz still had a few great moments but that was about it..
No reason to hate Em for this though, Eminem did the Loyal To The Game project for free. I think it was in the liner notes that Afeni wrote to Eminem and thanked him for doing the project for free...
...Em did it out of love and respect for Pac and Afeni

So your saying Afeni is a liar? That's what she wrote in the liner notes. She thanked Em for doing the album for free out of the kindness of his heart.
...I don't like the Loyal To The Game album either. I want to hear Pac with the producers and rappers he was cool with when he was alive. But don't make it sound like Em was trying to make money off of Pac.
...Also, even if 2pac were alive they would of had to touch up a lot of those tracks. They were unfinished tracks to begin with. Like BigHutch said in his JMix interview some producer/engineer would've had to go in and finish them even if Pac was alive. Also, a lot of the tracks didn't have sample clearance.
These are the words of Above the Law producer who was cool with Pac even when Pac was alive. He did his great work on albums like Until The End of time honoring Pac's legacy, IMO

"Better Dayz" was the last official 'Pac album worth checking - from that point on things were starting to get weird. That album could have been much better if Amaru didn't do shady things with Johnny 'J' - the OG concept was for him to remix his own stuff, some of it which he did.
Some of the stuff he re-produced turned out amazing as far as beats are concerned - the version of "Fuck 'Em All" still was very close to the OG one, but was bangin' way harder than the previous one. Same goes with "There U Go" and "Never Call U Bitch Again" - I prefer those remixes over the OG's.
There were some geat remixes made by other producers - for example, the beat in "Still Ballin" sounded much better than the OG. If they would keep Kurupt on the record, it would be perfect. But how those idiots from Amaru/Interscope or whoever scrapped THIS Johnny 'J' remix of "Thugz Mansion" and put out that trash version from 7 Aurelius and that wack accoustic remix with Nas is just beyond me... smfh.
https://www.youtube.com/v/Ey06XC0tM14
This is classic 'Pac & Johnny 'J' right there - plus Tyrese is perfect on the hook. Shit's sooo smoooth 8)
Imagine this on the album along with "Changed Man" OG with new Big Syke verse added - shit would be much much better overall.

The song I was referring to earlier is the unreleased track... "Grab the Mic", ya'll heard that one? Was this ever remade and put on any of the 2pac Official releases? The version I have is the O.G. and he says "Starin In my Rearview" but it's not the same track as "Starin At The World In My Rearview"

2. This Life I Lead
I notice a lot of ya'll put "This Life I Lead" on there and I was always sleepin on this track cause I wasn't really feeling the Bay Area cats that were on there. I made my own mix of the track, so now it's just 2pac and the Dogg Pound.. Fixed—Much better 8)
