There is no way in hell he did this on purpose. With all due respect to the wards family that kid had no business getting out of his car on a poorly lit dirt track and running out there like an idiot. It's no different than running out on to a freeway, in fact even worse considering the track conditions and poor lighting. The fact is, he got too close to Tonys car where Stewart didn't have enough time to dodge the guy. These cars are a lot wider on the back end, and don't turn and a respond like a honda civic. Ive been pissed about this incident since it happend. Tony Stewart does more for the sport of racing than anyone. This kid had no business getting out of his car and running at anyone on the track. He should have just ended the race and taken a picture with Stewart when it was over.
I don't want to sound insensitive to the kid being killed, but I've heard a lot of bullshit on the radio that last few days about this incident from people giving opinions on stuff they know nothing about.

Unless there's a view I didn't see, the only video of it is some fan in the stands who doesn't even focus on Tony hitting him until it already happened. I don't know how anyone can draw inferences based on that.

From what I understand, everyone else served and he didn't, more in a way to teach the kid a lesson. The kid must have been a Stewart fan because Stewart was known to get on the track during a race and throw his helmet at others. Such a sad situation. I agree with people that the kid shouldn't have walked out on the track.

the guys dad thinks tony did it on purpose

Although Tony is a dick, I don't think he wanted to kill him.

What do you mean by "served"? But yeah, from everything I heard the suspicion is whether or not he just tried to give him a scare by getting close. The kid certainly shouldn't have been down there in the first place but if he was trying some shit to punk him out or something that shouldn't be ignored either.

Typed on a phone, so it must have auto corrected me, I meant swerved.

Ha, I was thinking some racing term I wasn't familiar with. But yeah, that's fucked if true no matter how dumb the kid was for being out there.
