meh, sounded like a throwaway single attempt that Tip scrapped from the album and wanted to give HG some shine on IMO...
some of these songs do go hard though "Welcome To My City", "Who We Is", "Brand New Choppa", "Money On My Mind", "Ain't Both", and "Ya Digg" all get my stamp

T.I. continues to prove that he is one of the rap game’s ultimate hustlers time and time again. The Atlanta native will return for a fifth season of his reality show, The Family Hustle. The show continues to boast high ratings as Tip juggles parenthood and his music career with his wife Tiny by his side. T.I. will also appear on the silver screen next year, alongside A-List actors Paul Rudd and John Slattery in Marvel’s action-packed thriller, Ant-Man. Just last month, the Trouble Man announced the release date of his highly anticipated album Paperwork: The Motion Picture, slated to drop on Oct. 21. In the meantime, Tip and Hustle Gang are giving the people yet another dose of hardcore anthems with the 20-track sequel, G.D.O.D II; the follow up to Get Dough Or Die. ATL rappers Dro, Spodee, Shad da God and B.o.B team up with Tip again to unleash more trap music that the streets can bang out to.
As expected, T.I. brings his lyrical game on G.D.O.D. II. The Hustle Gang leader spits certifies fire while bragging about his stomping grounds on the intro “Welcome To My City.” He raps, “Hey nigga pull up with your order, ain’t no speakin’ on the phone/Cause the money too long, can’t leave shit alone/Home of the drop Chevy, the Chevelles and the dope/Where them suckas can’t chill but the real niggas don’t/I move a bale in a day, hundred kis in a month/Sellin’ hard in the back, nun’ but weed in the front/Nigga might fuck around, make a mil’ in a month/Where the suckas can’t hear but the real niggas won’t.” The details show T.I. doesn’t shy away from his ATL past.
The collaborative effort offers up a jammed packed plethora of artists on bass driven beats and woven trumpet samples. North meets south as Troy Ave, Spodee, Yung Booke and T.I. body “Money On My Mind.” Meek Mill and Travi$ Scott sing the hook on “Brand New Choppa.” Rich Homie Quan turns up with Dro and Quan on “Make Me Something.” Tip shines his versatile flow on “Whatchu Gon’ Do About” it alongside Zuse and Trae The Truth.
The production infuses reggae and trap together which shows a diverse range on the tape. Tip collabs with his protégé Iggy Azalea; she proves she can still hold her own with her mentor on “We Go Hard.” Azalea spits, “Hold up/Let me get in this/Keep your fives, tens, and twenties/Only white girl with a ghetto ass/And a pair of fashion titties/Put this whole world on a treadmill/And I’mma run it.”
Southern hipster Young Thug brings his raspy vocals on “I Need War.” Produced by Lil C, the track is a jazzy and looped out, laced with trumpets in between bass intervals. You can definitely vibe out to this banger whether you’re in the club or cruising down the highway in your whip. “Ya Digg” is a soulful ghetto anthem that will make your head nod as the church organ chimes over the intricate beat. Bobby Ray shows off his production skills with “Champaign Room” is a sexy club banger with Trey Songz harmonizing while Tip and Big Kuntry gets it poppin’ for the ladies.
Overall, the Hustle Gang delivers heat for the streets. G.D.O.D. II has a nice line up of producers such as The Painkillers, WTO, Dun Deal, Lil C, Zaytove, Tommy Brown, The Superiors, Pops and KE On The Track. The tracks are pure southern club bangers with samples of soulful instrumentation on every beat. There’s something for everyone to vibe to on this mixtape.—Chanel Clark
