Title: Who was better in there prime
Post by: pappy on April 02, 2003, 10:15:34 PM: im comparing these 2 b/c there often to of the most overlooked emcees when in there prime. Kurupt was overshadowed by the likes of snoop an 2pac. Prodigy, nas an biggie. They both have classic group albums. they both have 2 very good solo albums. They both came out about the same time an had there own shine during the same time. an they both fell off around the same time 2. so which rapper was better in his prime

A prime example how much hunger affects your expression. I don't think they realize it themselves though, it's on some sub-conscious level - "since I've made it rappin', I don't have to prove myself anymore." It certainly ain't the same when it's a job instead of just fun.

Both of them might not be as good as they were circa '95 but they are still better than most.
