13 years, $325 million. Terrible deal for Miami. Guy is always finding a way to get hurt. Will be 38 when the deal is over.

Trout could get 400 million lol.

great contract for the Marlins....he can leave after 2020 and they are off the hook for most of the deal.

The crazy thing about this deal is that Stanton has an opt out clause midway through this deal and that he has a 30-team no trade clause. There's still a chance he'll be out of Miami before 2019.

He's not going anywhere. Where is going to find a better deal from 30 to 36 than what he can lock himself into with this Miami deal?

As a Yankees fan, I guess I shouldn't really question that lmao. I can always see them offering him double what they gave Ellsbury for the same years lol. But still, he won't opt out at 30 looking for a better deal unless from now until then he consistently is putting up .340, 40 & 150 lol.

nobody is gonna turn down the money he'll be making after the opt out comes in
