Meh, these topics of 'which song is better' are sort of getting tiresome, but both are good in their own ways.  I listen to both depending on what kind of mood i'm in.  The remix is a little darker sounding.  Neither will go down as one of the best songs Pac ever made.  It's a nice track.

Damn never heard the original version way better! I have the outlawz album and in the booklet it says produced by kurupt, that version is not that dope to me this version is smoother and sounds like PAC would rap on it, any one got MP3?

There are 2 OG versions if I'm not mistaken - the standard one, and the one that uses the sample as Coolio's 'Gangsta's Paradise'.  I prefer them both to the one from Still I Rise.

THIS...

Good thread.. and corea is right also about Still I Rise being a classic if the OG version of "Tatoo Tears" had been on the retail album.  Maybe they couldn't get a sample cleared or something because the O.G. is clearly better in this instance, and I am usually one of the few on this forum that have defended the retail version remakes.  Other tracks I felt were improvements, like the retail "Baby Don't Cry", "Black Jesus", and "Hell 4 a Hustler" were remarkably better than their O.G. versions.
