no doubt about it.
every single fred wreck beat = HEAT
^ Cant deny that
-
yeah I agree. Quik is better, but he ain't doin anything anymore, and dre wouldn't give a beat to a westcoast artist if his life depended on it. Plus I have never heard a disapointing fred wrizeck beat.

my sentiments exactly

No way he's the best...Maybe the best Mainstream, but look out for underground musical genius's like Chuckii Booker to shock you when they drop their shit...
-
Yea I was thinking the same thing. Quik is still my favorite, but like Grundy said he ain't doing too much right now. Fred does some crazy shit, live percussion, real instruments, but he can flip styles too. Highly versatile in other words.
Oh cant forget Battlecat though, he's been quiet but hopefully he's been working on new shit. That new Boo Yaa Tribe should be nice.
-
yup yup....loved Freds shit ever since I first heard him. he gonna be the best of the best when peeps like Quik and Dre are completely out the rap game.
-
freds tite but i still reckon dre is doing the best on the west fred need 2 do some more shit like
Kurupt - Fuck Wit Us
Knocturnal - Lets All Roll
-
Fred Wreck is defo a tight producer.
-
I would definetly like to hear more from
Fred, but no way is he tightest on the
west. Dre, until he retires is gonna hold
that down, with Quik a close second, but
Fred is the best of the rest

DOLLAZ DRANK & DANK by Short Khop- a hot ass song and a dope ass beat by Fred 8)

actually, thats a battlecat beat.
And I think Battlecat is better than Fred Wreck...in the last year he hasn't done as much but almost anything battlecat does is dope...if battlecat was a 9 outta 10, fred wreck would be 8 in my opinion.

Yeah, Fred Wreck is probably the best on the west right now as far as his style of beats are concerned. All of his beats have been dope, and you really cannot fault him at the moment. He stole the show on Kurupts Space Boogie album and was only overshadowed by Premo on Paid The Cost To Be The Boss. He’s certainly doing more for the west these days than Dre, who just seems to be signing the entire east coast at the moment.
-
DJ Babu is probably the most consistantly dope producer in the west right now, he only started on Expansion Team (came out end of 2001) and every joint he's produced has been HEAT. Some of Fredwrecks beats have been a bit "eh?", but there at least average and sometimes dope (although he doesn't seem to have lived up to his potential, after the heat he brought on Space Boogie, none of his beats have been THAT dope apart from maybe Let's All Roll). Still, i always look forward to a new Fred beat.

I can't argue with that. Fred definitely got tight shit.
-
soopafly neva eva dissapoints me. "you thought", "fuckin' you right", "bitch's treat", "loosen' control" etc. but fredwreck got more time

yea FredWreck is the best from the west IMO
and I dont even consider Dre westcoast no more...His beats aint westcoast, and his flow, style and label sure as hell aint westcoast no more either...
-
I would have to disagree.
I don't really like Fred's new style, I liked his "Dre 2"-style better..
But thankfully he still does his Dre-impersonation, on tracks by Eastsidaz/F.T., Tray Deee, etc.
And of course the OG Dre is the best producer on the West both now and through all time.
Fred is the 2nd best producer on the West right now, at least until Warren G drops his new album.
